SOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!

I feel like I can post this here because my DH doesn't read this, and I have to share.

We have 2 DD's right now, and I'm PG with #3, which is also the last, because i'm getting my tubes tied.  Well, DH doesn't want to find out the gender, because I think he's afraid that if its another girl, he doesn't want to be disappointed for 4 months.

Well, I asked my OB at my last appointment and its a boy.  I'm so over the moon. I felt like I had to know to wrap my head around the fact that if it was another girl, I was not going to ever have a boy, because I still wanted to get my tubes tied, because I would be older if I were to have number 4, let alone the expense of another.

 

But YEA!!!!!!!!  I have to act surprised on birthday, because he will never know that I know, but we have always referred to the baby as a girl, so I just have to keep doing that, and every once in a while I'll mention a girls name to consider (we already have a boys name).

Congratulations! That's really exciting - I know having 3 girls would've been fun but I know if I had 3 I would hope to have at least 1 of each!

Congrats!  I love my boy.  We are having a girl this time and I think it's nice to be able to have at least one of each and that way you can close the book if need be!

That's wonderful!  We have two boys and were thrilled this time to find out we are having a girl since this will be our last as well.  My husband has a really special bond with our boys, especially now that our oldest is big enough to play sports :-)

Ahhh! I didn't want to know and my husband did and I was so afraid he would give it away by facial expressions if they told him. We have 2 girls as well from his prior marriage. I've made him suck it up and wait since this is my first and our last together and I wanted it to be special.

That is exciting!

But I'm actually surprised your doc had that info in the file...  Usually if you tell them you don't want to know at the ultrasound, they don't even record it as it has no medical relevance... I've also heard that they purposely don't record it so that there are no "oops" on the parts of medical staff -- things like asking "how the little boy is doing" when you don't know the sex...

I don't think this is the case everywhere. My sister was team green with her first, she had to go in for an emergency c-section, when the doc came in to tell them he said "so are we ready to deliver your little girl?!"
