How do we feel about 2 middle names?

Quick back story, DS's MN is after my FIL. If our next baby is a girl we are done having kids. I am really close with my paternal grandparents and I would want to honor them in some way. If the baby is a boy the MN will be Theodore said and done so that's easy BUT if its a girl I'm stuck. My MN is Ann (5th generation of this MN) and I'd love to carry it on but its on my moms side. Would it look weird to name my DD FirstName Ann Faye LastName? Paternal grandmothers MN is Faye. Or other options are her FN Theodora or her maiden LN Kennedy.

We're not sure yet lol. Our top 5 are Stella, Juliet, Piper, Leighton and Alanna.

I never like two MNs, but if both names are meaningful... and you just can't decide, go for it. Both of those MNs are short, so it wouldn't be the end of the world.


BFP #1: 10/27/11; EDD 6/27/12; mmc 11/27/11 @9w4d (Baby measured 6w).
BFP #2: 2/17/12; EDD 10/29/12; heart rate of 78bpm on 3/12/12 @7w (Baby measured 6w); no hb 3/19/12 @8w; D&C 3/20/12.
BFP #3: 7/23/12; EDD 4/2/13; miscarried one twin 8/11/12 @5w6d, remaining twin just may be my rainbow.

I knew a girl in grade school named Fayanne (this spelling). You could always do something like this to make it one middle name...

I am not a fan of two middle names. I don't think Ann Faye flows well. I think Theodora Ann could work! Not a fan of Kennedy.

I don't mind doing 2 MN's, especially if they are short and have meaning. One of our boy names we have picked out will have 2 MN's but there is meaning behind it.  If we end up have 3 total boys I'd be tempted to do the 2 MN thing again because there are two grandfathers I would really like to honor. 

Who will really know about the 2 MNs?  Very few.  It'll come up when she is born but otherwise I don't think its an issue.  The only time I don't like it is when people get pretentious about it and say my name is "Thomas William Edward Smith" for example.

FWIW I like FN Ann Kennedy LN too.  I like Kennedy, it has meaning and I've always liked the sound of it.

We're giving our son two middle names. I don't think anything of it, since no one will ever use it... In reality, how many people in your life (excluding family and CLOSE friends) know your middle name(s)?

I'm not a big fan, but I don't hate it. Especially when they are both one syllable names like that I think you'd be fine. Personally I'd just use Anne.

Not a fan of two middle names, seems unnecessary. Some ladies that have used two middle names have mentioned that filling out important paperwork is a hassle.

Double middle names fall in the same category as hyphenated last names for me.  I think it's overkill but it's not like it'll make the kid a serial killer or something so who really cares?
