Would love some feedback. Last name is Cohen. Having girl #2. First born is named Sienna Noelle. Not necessarily looking for a name that is too matchy/matchy, but would love it to sound nice together. Would also like a name that is feminine and unique. Here is our short list.
1. Penelope Grace
2. Milena Rae (pronounced Elena w/ an M). NN would be Mila
3. Anika Rae (pronounced Hanukkah w/o the H)
Thanks for your help!!
I really like Anika.
Milena is okay, but not my taste.
I am beyond tired of the Penelope rage on TB as of late.
krdietzel:I would not do Milena, it reminds me of melena-which means bloody stool:(
MelRC117:Anika by a million miles. However, from what I've found Anika is pronounced like Annika (AH-nee-kah) not like (AH-nuh-kah). Either pronounciation I like and I think is a great name. I just don't get the appeal of Penelope. I think of a parrot when I hear the name.
This is right. It is a German name. My old roommate was from Germany and it is pronounced AH-nee-kah
I like them in this order...
1. Anika Rae
2. Milena Rae
3. Penelope Grace

I read it as Mirena and wondered why you would name a child after an IUD.
Anika by a mile. Although I like it spelled Anneke better.
