4 days luteal phase?

Hi ladies,

 

I need your input. I'm 5 DPO today and when I woke up this morning, my panties were soaking up with blood. I've put a panty liner and by the time I arrived at the office, it was full of blood. What do you think? CD1? Crying

 

I'm pretty sure of my O date since I've had a positive OPK, EWCM and FF crosshairs. 

 

On O date, I had a little pinky spotting when I wiped after sex, and for the next 2 days I spotted brown (only when wiping). Also, I've had terrible ovulation pains.

 

So, what do you think? Short luteal phase?

Hmm, that is tricky, it does look like a really short LP.

Random question, do you have another child? If so, how old? And are you still BFing? If so, BFing can cause short LP's.

No, I do not have another child, we're trying for our 1st. My temp is still up this morning, which I don't understand. It's only our 4th month trying, second month temping. But last month, I had a 15 days luteal phase. ugh.

My only other idea is that you actually O'd on the 12th and had a slow rise. It doesn't fit with the OPK's and CM, but the timing would be fairly similar with your previous months for O and spotting.

It's hard to say what's going on at this point but it could be just a wonky cycle. I had a random 17 day cycle back in January. I wasn't temping back then because I had bronchitis and wasn't getting enough uninterrupted sleep to have reliable temps so I don't know exactly when I O'd that month. But the next cycle I was right back to my normal cycle length.
TTC since August 2011, Me = 39, DH = 37. CD 3 bloodwork: Normal, HSG 3/29/12: tubes clear, DH's SA 3/29/12: Everything normal. Unexplained IF. Tried Clomid for 3 cycles. All BFNs.BFP 1/6/13. Chemical pregnancy.

So If I O'd around the 12 or 13, why the stark white OPK then and the very positive OPK later?

 

I guess we all have this one very wonly cycle in our TTC journey? Confused

I had a 3 day LP once.  Sorry I don't have VIP FF so you can't see.  My CM, OPKs and temps clearly showed ovulation. However, my temp also dropped the day AF started. 

I see yours is still up.  I guess just wait and see.

I'm not sure I agree with this.  If that is true the post O temps are not very high above coverline, they're even somewhat the same as the pre O temps.  Could it potentially be an anovulatory cycle?  I'm not sure about the spike that is happening now.

It looks fairly ovulatory, but that could be. My other guess would be that it was a fairly weak ovulation and that the CL broke down quickly due to that.
