UO Thursday

I didn't see this started yet. So here we go! Let's hear some unpopular opinions!

Mine: I don't like Peppermint in my coffee. It always reminds me of toothpaste. I don't care for it in my hot chocolate either. Peppermint bark? Sure, but for some reason it doesn't work in beverages for me.

Until today, I would have agreed with you about the peppermint coffee, but this morning I had a amazing peppermint mocha coffee that totally changed my mind (It was from McDonalds, surprisingly)
On an unrelated note, anyone who loves coffee should try starbucks Salted Caramel Mocha. Its AMAZING! I thought it would be gross but I was pleasantly surprised

I don't like hot/warm beverages. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, hot cider...it's all gross. Actually, I don't like any coffee or any tea, hot or cold.

I don't think that's unpopular. I hate when people skip holidays and decorate for the next one.. It drives me bonkers. 


My UO: Going along w/ the coffee/peppermint thing. I hate them both. I love the smell of coffee beans, but hate it to drink. 

I don't like anything peppermint. Toothepaste, in a drink, candies.. Nothing. The smells makes me gag.

You'd love the jacka$$es that live down the street from us who have had their light up deer nailed to their deck railing for the past 13 months. I've contemplated going over there in the middle of the night and ripping them down for the past year. If they don't remove them by mid-January this year, I think I'll follow through.

MRI of my uterus April 30th, result = Arcuate Uterus
May 2013: Femara + trigger + IUI#2 (2.7 Million) = BFP!!!

Gahh. ME TOO! Today there was one, the orig post only had four replies. How many people saw it? The same amount. We don't caaaaare.

Once in awhile it is fine, but not every.single.DD.

Also, I have my Christmas Tree up already. I am already listening to Christmas music.  Flame away...

So annoying...how can Christmas decorations be special anymore by the holidays if you've had them up for two months, seriously?!  I was especially cheesed to see people who had their decorations up before Remembrance Day (Canada), which I believe is Veterans Day in the US?  Very rude in my books!

My UO: Now that I've figured out how to make my own frappuccino, I've realized how overpriced Starbucks really is. Their drinks even have an aftertaste. I won't be going back.

Mine is that I am super open to anyone who asks about our TTC plans. I know most people like to keep it hush, and I understand and respect it, but my life is pretty much an open book. I am a loud mouth and I gossip too.

I was really taken back at a shower I went to this past weekend. A woman that I barely know and rarely see asked me if we were trying for a second, which I told her yes and just started trying. I asked her the same and she said something along the lines of "if we are blessed enough", or something. Then later, she was talking to the rest of the table and said "I hate when people ask if we are trying for a second. It's none of their business. I've had problems and don't need to be nagged about it." But that was the first question she asked me??

I agree if it was DD it's probably because it was really stupid and its a waste of time to read anyways.

Also - I LOVE everything pepermint!!!  I love mint chocoalte, mint hot chocolate.. etc.  My brother always told me I was gross for thinking things that taste like tooth paste was a good treat.  I kinda get the point - but I still love it.  My fav is mintchip icecream.

About grammar - I LOVE making comments if people's posts have spelling or gramatical errors - but I only do it when the person is a complete tool.  If it's just a typo or I can tell someone was just writing too fast I don't care - everyone makes those mistakes.  But sometimes we get people in here where I seriously hope that english is not their first language and I worry about their future children.

I agree. But, it is the nitpicky crap about common spelling errors. It's been happening more lately.

I also have another one, similar to the name thing. I don't understand people who name their kids one thing, but then solely refer to them by another name. Why not just name the kid the other name in the first place? I have a nickname, but my parents didn't use that exclusively. For example, we have a friend who named their kid something, but they NEVER EVER EVER call them by that name. The name sign hanging in the baby's room they had made is even the shortened version. If you don't like the name you chose for the birth certificate, why did you use it in the first place? At that point, it isn't a nickname anymore.

I work at another office outside of my own one day a week.  The staff that works there knows we are TTC.  Every single week these girls ask me, so when are you going to get pregnant?  Are you going to have a baby before Christmas next year?  Every time, I tell them, well, we aren't avoiding so we'll see what happens.  You would think that after the past 4 months of asking this question they would get the hint that it's taking us a little bit and to quit asking! 

Edit:  post fail, this is unpopular opinion not bitchfest.  my apologies!

My UO probably isn't really unpopular. I think a lot of the newbies on this board are trying way too hard. It's to the point where there are a lot of people I don't respond to because their puppies and rainbow approach makes me want to vomit. Also, wtf is up with starting a thread to call out every fricken DD? I can understand if it's a thread that has a lot of replies (like the one about kerischrader removing her kids pic from her siggy), but if the thread is just some stupid bullshiiit that hasn't had many replies, who cares? That's where the whole newbies trying to fit in comes along. It seems like they're the ones that are quick to start a thread about someone DDing.

I agree. But, it is the nitpicky crap about common spelling errors. It's been happening more lately.

 

Poor spelling annoys the crap out of me. Ask my husband. He is a terrible speller. I hate when he adds a personal message to a card because I always get hung up on the spelling errors.

Why would take be either? I'm old enough I didn't have to take it, otherwise I would have had to prior to buying my bow permit.

I'm not sure if I would want to shoot a deer, but I love me some venison jerky.  :)

Some parts of the nest/bump it is a pretty "ew! how gross!" thing. 

H bow hunts, too.  I am amazed by anyone who can.
