Depression and irritability after injectables

Is this normal?  This is my first injectable only cycle and never had this happen with femara + trigger cycles.  I triggered on Saturday and ovulated/IUI Monday.  I have been really sad and irritable since Tuesday.  I have no reason to be, I just feel so down in the dumps.  I am not the type who normally gets depressed and crabby, so I am really hoping this is normal and that it will pass soon.  Thanks ladies!

Me:35, Using frozen donor sperm. 2009-2010 - several non-medicated "at home" frozen donor sperm cycles = BFN
IUIs 1-3 in 2010 = BFN
4/2012: IUI #4 w/ new RE = BFP Missed m/c due to turner syndrome at 9 weeks, discovered at 12 weeks 3 days on 6/21/12. :(
Summer 2012 IUI 5 & 6 = BFN.
Was planning on moving onto IVF but insurance is requiring 3 injectable IUI rounds.
11/12/2012 - IUI #7 75 gonal-f cd3-12 + trigger. = BFP on Thanksgiving!
Beta 1 at 14dpo = 261 Beta 2 at 16dpo = 639 Good NT scan and Negative MaterniT21 test. It's a boy!

I think it's normal.  I was down right nasty while on injectables...  Good luck!!
Me; 35 DH 32 TTC for over 2 years First mini-IVF Sept 2011... Only 1 egg! ... BFN Switching RE IVF#2 May 2012 9 eggs and only 2 sperm, WTH! BFN IVF#3 Chemical... FML. 2 frosties. SAIF/PAIF ALWAYS WELCOME!!!!!

I personally did not have my mood affected by injectibles (or clomid!) but I don't think it's abnormal at all to feel that way...hormones do weird things to our emotions.

I'm VERY affected by birth control though....my husband tells me I'm Jekyll and Hyde..... I hate it.  Can't wait to be done with it!

I think everyone is different on every different drug. Clomid made me a freaking nutcase, crying all the time, b*tch from hell, and just plain miserable to be around. But throughout my IVF drugs I was pretty much normal (not that I know what that is anymore) without any substancial mood swings. Now doing these cancelled FET cycles I have been very unhappy with no energy and not really wanting to get out of bed. I think the drugs deffinitly dont help but i think a lot of it has to do with where you are mentally. If your completly consumed every waking thought and find it hard to be optimistic or laugh at a joke then maybe its more than the drugs. I recently started antideppressants again because my "having a bad IF day" turned into everyday whether I was on drugs or not. I am a much easier person to be around and dont find it so difficult to get out of bed and function anymore. Ladies here on the board made me feel ok about needing help and there is nothing wrong with that. I hope I answered your question or atleast helped. Best wishes to you!

Not sure if you can notice the size differences in the pics but no she wasnt a hafflinger she is a palamino quarter horse. Some friends of my parents let us use there AMAZINGLY beautiful barn for my bridal pictures. The girls in the picture are haflingers though, they are a thicker shorter horse, since they are a working horse. We have 4, 2 mommas and there 2 baby girls. That is both mommas on the outside and one of there babies in the middle. We had the daddy but once my dad got the 2 babies he was wanting, he cut him and sold him to a man for his granddaughter to ride. They are great horses. We had one get hung up in barb wire on that ride in the picture in the middle of the night and she never freaked out or got excited. She jsut stood there while we got her out of it. Do you have horses?

What beautiful pics!!  I am sorry one got caught in barb wire though.  Yes, I have a Connemara but am not riding her at the moment.  She is going to be bred.  Currently I am riding a warmblood and a lipizzan.  I have had a few friends who have Hafflingers.  They are fun horses!  Thanks for sharing the pics!
