Still OPK after FF says you O?

This is my first month TTC ... FF says I Od on Sunday and my temps do reflect that. Does anyone still Use OPKs after their cross line just in case FF is wrong?

... I feel slightly skeptical since this is my first month.

Thanks!

Great question, this is my first cycle charting and I'm wondering the same thing - I seem to have O'd very early, although given my wonky and tending towards shorter cycles it's not out of line to have done so, but I'm just wondering if I should continue testing OPK to make sure I didn't just 'gear up to O' but not, and might actually O later.  I did have the sustained temp spike after FF all signs pointed to O, and FF has given me crosshairs, but...Newbie doubts I guess!  But I'm definitely interested to hear what the more experienced charters say about this. :)

I am no expert on charting at all and am interested to see the responses, but I have had FF change my CH 's on a few occasions. In a previous cycle I actually had several days of +OPK's, then negative's and then +OPK's again, and FF never gave me an O date for that cycle (now I did miss a few days of temps due to being OOT and away from DH).  My thought is maybe for a few days I would keep testing just to be sure FF doesn't move your CH's??

Maybe since it is your first time charting, and if you have a good stash of OPKs, then you could keep testing. Once you get a sense of what your cycles are like, you'll know and won't need to. But being cautious your first cycle won't hurt.

I'm new to using OPKs for this cycle, but I've charted since 1/2010 (except when I was pregnant).  FOR ME, I'd keep using OPKs if I didn't think FF was right.  In fact, I've been doing that.  FF had me on 8 dpos yesterday until I charted another temperature and CM, then it took away the cross hairs.

I was 99% sure FF was wrong, so I've kept up with the OPKs.  (Still haven't gotten a positive yet, but that's a different story.)

My answer: if you think there's a decent chance of FF being wrong or you haven't gotten a + OPK yet, you can keep using them.  In your case, FF looks to be pretty good, it has your O date on the day that you got a + OPK, so I'd lean towards trusting it.

I use OPKs until they are negative again...just in case. Once negative and temp is going up, I stop. You will get a better idea of cycle after your first month of charting though.

I'll typically use OPKs until after they turn negative and I see that sustained temp shift.

I failed at that this month, but you'll see I usually test an extra day or so.  There have been plenty of bumpies here that regretted not continuing to temp through a temp shift, though.
