Wondering if I am preggo??

Soo I have ended my birth control just over a month ago, and hubby and I decided to start having kids now. Well the deed was done around my ovulation date... Well now I am 4 days late from my "expected" period as well as been feeling very nauseous, lightheaded/dizzy constantly tired all the time and been having more headaches than usual. Wondering if I am pregnant, but I have taken 2 tests and they came back negative...do not sure if it's just too early yet? What to do???

It could be too early to test since you are just guessing at when you ovulated. As tough as it is, I would just continue to test once a week until you get a + or your period.

if this is not mud:

1. how do u know when you Ovulated?

if the answer is chart can you link it, if the answer is some kind of app then it doesnt work, and you need to chart. 

2. If you have symptoms than a preg test will be positive

3. keep testing once a week until BFP or AF

I'm going to wait till Sunday when it officially hits a week late and take another test, if that comes up negative I was going to make an appointment with my obgyn and see if maybe the hormones aren't high enough yet to be detected

DX with Non-IR PCOS in October 2012.
Missing RIGHT tube due to a prior surgery to remove cyst-zilla (40 lbs!) at age 12.
HSG showed tube was blocked - cleared by dye. DON'T DO CLOMID WITHOUT AN HSG!
Cycle #8 with 50mg Clomid & TI = BFN
Cycle #9 with 50mg Clomid & TI = No response.
Cycle #10 with Clomid 100mg + Ovidrel shot = BFN
Cycle #11 is a break cycle. Cycle #12 is a break cycle. (The break so nice, she did it twice!)

Yes I was on BC for a while and I stopped just over a month ago and my period was on track every month

The point of BC is to stop ovulation... Only way you'd know if you O'd after being off the BC would be to temp. Doesn't sound like you did. Funny thing about PG symptoms... they are similar to O and AF symptoms as well!

Look into charting your BBT. It's the only way to really know for sure that you are ovulating and when. Check out fertilityfriend.com. They have great tutorials there that will help get you started. It might sound overwhelming, but really all you need to do is take your temperature first thing when you wake up and put the info into the website.

You might also want to get some ovulation predictor kits. Wondfos from Amazon are much cheaper than the ones you buy in the store. These, along with tracking your BBT, will help you figure out when you're ovulating so that you can have better timing and know when it's time to test. Hope that helps!

So, here is my experience:

My first month TTC my period was a week late. I was sure I was pregnant because I haven't been late since I was 13! Even thought the HPT's were negative, I knew I was pregnant.

Well, about a week late, af showed.

I'm pretty sure that I was so nervous/excited/stressed about finally TTC that it messed up my cycle.

P.S. Preggo is a spaghetti sauce.

I wouldn't trust any test that measures the pregnancy hormone hcg. They're such a scam. 
Me (26) DH (26) TTC since March 2012. Dx: Hypothyroid in 2007.
CD3 BW: Low AMH - .88; 7dpo BW - 10.3; SA: Normal; HSG - All Open. Genetic Testing revealed MTHFR - C (hetero)
1st RE Appt 10.24.12
Oct. 2012: 100mg Clomid (CD3-7)+ Ovidrel (CD12) + TI = P4-35.9 = BFP 11/16/12 (12dpo)t!!

I definitely lol'd at that...it scared my cat when I laughed.

OP...when you explain to your doctor that you are a week "late" after coming off of birth control and you've taken pregnancy tests, but they're all negative but you're pretty damn positive you're pregnant, your doctor is going to give you a look like you're flucking nuts and try to explain it as nicely as they can.

You said your app is right about your ovulation? Really?? I'm glad you can see inside yourself. The app just uses an average ovulation date...temping and charting is the only way you really know.

Dx: Endometriosis, 3 rounds of Lupron finished!
