Disneyland and Pregnancy...

My husband and I want to go to Disneyland for Christmas and we may have friends and family joining us and we haven't announced our pregnancy yet. I've researched Disneyland rides and being pregnant but they all say different things. Fortunately I have a Dr Appt a couple days before we leave but thought I'd ask everyone here as well. I just need a good excuse for not riding any big rides....

You probably want to avoid all the rollercoaster-like rides -- Space Mt, Thunder Mt, Matterhorn, etc., and Indiana Jones (that one's really bumpy). There are still plenty of easy rides you can do.

I'm fairly certain that Disney has a lot of rides that you can ride while pregnant. If I recall from looking this up for a friend, they clearly mark which rides are and aren't ok for pregnant women. I'd go and have a great time. I love Disney!

I just wouldn't do any of the roller coasters, Indiana Jones, Autopia. The guide map will tell you which rides to avoid. I'd also steer clear of the Finding Nemo submarines ;)

Have fun, I love Disneyland at Christmas!

You will miss all the good rides, but if you don't like roller coasters anyway then go for it and enjoy your excuse!

I've been to Disneyland twice while pregnant.  Once right after I found out I was pregnant with DD and then once when I was about 20w pregnant with DS.

I did a lot of Google searching to see what rides I couldn't go on, but really it all comes down to common sense.  Don't go anything fast or bumpy.

Maybe make an excuse that you want to look at gift shops or eat a snack while they ride the bigger rides?

I am going to Disneyland as well for Christmas time! I am not disappointed about not riding the rides, I just love going during the Christmas season. It is awesome! Have a good time Smile
