Back on the coffee!

I was a never big coffee drinker PP but when I wanted it, I wanted it and I got it. During pregnancy I've had about 5 cups total. But now, I get so exhausted so early in the day that I've started craving it more and more to the point of going to the store to buy an actual pound of ground coffee (instead of just grabbing a cup at a store). It helps me get things done, otherwise, I just sit on the couch! UGH! Coffee, you demon!

I know a certain amount is fine every day, but I was so trying to be that good pregnant woman in some way! LOL!

I wish coffee didn't make it feel like a fire ball just landed in my chest/throat...b/c fatigue-wise I need it and I am having some cravings for it. Heartburn sucks.

I don't do caffeine every day, but some days, it's the only thing that keeps my eyes open!

DS didnt want me to have coffee for the first 2 trimesters, now he seems open to it :) Thankfully with both pregnancies (DD & DS) they have enjoyed momma's hot tea addiction.

From the first visit, I was told that I could have 2 cups of regular drip coffee a day. I have been pretty good, only having one. A few days were none, a few tough ones I've taken my allotment of two.   AND I'm going to have a half glass of wine with my Thanksgiving dinner next week!  WILD CHILD over here ;).

Add me to this group! I have one small cup of coffee per day. I never have two and rarely have soda. When I do have a soda its caffine free only. I've had a few sips of red on two occassions and I plan to split a glass with my husband on Thanksgiving. All approved by my doc. I dont feel guilty in the least.

Haha, you're still being a good pregnant lady! I get pretty irritable with caffeine though so that's why I'm drinking lots of decaf - it provides just enough caffeine for me. I definitely don't need to encourage myself to be more irritable.

I've heard coffee can help with pooping and I don't think any pregnant woman has a problem with that.

I guess I add enough milk/creamer, or after 7 months of severe heartburn, coffee is the least offensive!

I didn't have any caffeine until I was about 19 weeks pregnant. I drink a cup of coffee everyday and the rare days that I don't, I will have a coke or a glass of iced tea. I am a worrier, but for some reason this doesn't concern me at all.

I have limited myself to about 4-6 oz of coffee in the morning and 6-8 oz of tea or diet coke in the afternoon. When I was put on hospital bedrest, I kept my morning coffee, but dropped the afternoon serving. I got caffeine withdrawal headaches so bad that the nurses now bring me afternoon coffee too. I probably only drink about 6-8 oz a day total, but still..it helps me through the day.

This!! I even had bought decaf so I could have a cup at night since I just love coffee period, it's warm and yummy and perfect for winding down. (I'm not a huge tea person) But in my 3rd tri it started giving me such bad heart burn I had to cut it out!! =(

I just dropped in to my old work (a coffeeshop) to say hello to my favorite former boss, and grabbed a cup of my favorite iced coffee! Reading this earlier today made me want it so bad.

I would love to buy some coffee for the house, but DH is adamant that I avoid ALL coffee for the sake of the baby. (Tired momma-to-be would love a little cup every once in a while, husband-dear.)
