gscoville:We were SO shocked when Carlyle died, talk about a departure from the book - half the theatre gasped at once! I'm not the hugest of Twilight fans but I loved what they did with this movie.
I'm going to see it tonight, but I'm ok with spoilers.
I'm actually happy to hear that they killed off someone. With all the darn battles that happened, there was never any deaths of the good guys. Not that I want death, but seriously, it was almost too happily ever after for me.
Agreed! I feel like in the best movies main characters die. It makes it more personal and emotional and real. Plus it's more exciting because you never know who's safe!
That was one of my main issues with the books. After coming off of my HP hangover where NO ONE was safe, and then reading that, I was like "waahhhh? someone needed to die." Plus it's not like the characters were THAT likable for her to keep them all around.
I like to become emotionally invested in my stories and fairy tale endings don't really work for me. I need to cry over someone. It reminds me that I'm human.
Yes, I'm also excited about Catching Fire. I need to re-watch Hunger Games and reread the series.
