Back Aches already??

Hi all :)

I am starting to have backaches already (18w6d) and am wondering if it's normal to have them already... I can't imagine what it's going to feel like later if it's already bothering me...

 Have a nice Friday! Party!!!

yep sadly its normal I'm miserable also :( I suggest the pregnancy pillow or I use a full body pillow thats cheap at wal-mart and I take a warm shower before bed hoping to relax the muscles a little.

I am having them too and notice when I sleep on my back, that's when I really feel it the next day. Hope you can get comfy and sleep on your side!

This is about the time I started getting them, they lasted for a while and then seemed to subside. Not sure if I just didn't notice them as much or my body got accumstomed to the added weight/counter balance. I notice that every time LO (my belly) goes through a growth spurt I will have some back pains for a few days and then they will ease up.

I'm 18w6days also.  Started with backaches and hip pain while sleeping basically last week.  Progressively getting worse & I just keep thinking, too, that I can't imagine how I will feel down the road.  I feel like it is way too soon for me to feel yucky or complain. Last night I slept in a chair so that I wasn't on my back or my sides. Today DH suggested that I go for a prenatal massage, so I think that is my next step. I am frustrated and I think the hormones are winning the battle currently.

I've had on and off lower back pain for about 2 weeks now.  I find that it hurts most when standing in certain positions and when I first lay down at night.  Not sure if its just my body adjusting to the pregnancy.  For sleeping I reccomend the snoogle.  I've had mine since I found out I was pregnant and its been awesome for finding comfy positions at night!  Other than that I try and stretch throughout the day.

I am 18 weeks as well and starting to feel lower back pain. I started a prenatal yoga class this week and the stretching and hip/back movements we did felt really good! I have used some of the stretches at home in the morning when I am feeling stiff and it really helps. Check out your local Rec center to see if they offer a class, I found one very close to home and quite affordable. Class was fun, it's nice to be in a circle with a bunch of other prego women!

I started getting lower back pain a few weeks ago.  Doctor said it's completely normal, especially since I'm petite.  She suggested warm baths, laying on a heating pad, sleeping with many pillows, and even getting a prenatal massage.

I also do weekly yoga/stretching which helps.
