It probably is BH, and while people often take them lightly and nothing comes of them, it can be an early sign of preterm labor. I had very early, often, and painful BH with my first pregnancy and those contractions were just one of many signs of preterm labor. I would talk to your doctor. It may be time to have your cervix checked out just to be certain. The earlier a shortening cervix is caught the more options you have to deal with it. GL!
