BFP! But rising, not doubling, beta

Hi everyone -

So we got the results of our FET on Wed: BFP with a Beta of 58! I was very excited (of course) to get my first ever BFP but concerned my Beta wasn't closer to 80. However, my RE said it was in the normal range for a FET and it looked like a good start.

Today Beta #2 = 98. A pretty decent rise (60%) but not a double. This number did not reassure me at all. The RE assured me that it's still looking good and to stay positive b/c i am still on track for a viable pregnancy.  I am glad it didn't go down or stop but i really wish we would have seen a # of 116 or higher.

Beta #3 is Monday.

I really feel in limbo. While i am so excited to be pregnant, I have a feeling this could go either way at this point (i know it could at any point but ugh, i just wish i had a nice strong beta and some reassurance for once).

I wanted to check-in and let you know where i'm at with my cycle. Thoughts & prayers appreciated.

Also cross-posting this in PAIF to see if anyone has positive stories to ease my mind.

In March 2012 diagnosed with Diminished Ovarian Reserve (AMH = O.67) & IVF recommended

FET (2 5dt embryos) on 11/5/12= BFP! Beta #1=58; Beta #2=98, Beta #3=373. First u/s on 11/28/12 = 1 sac with fetal pole & heartbeat! Next u/s = 12/12/12

TTC History
IVF#1 (Antagonist Protocol) Sept 2012 = BFN
10R; 8F; 4 Day5 GradeA embryos. Put back 2, froze 2.
12 IUIs (in 9 cycles) since March 2011:
6 unmedicated/unmonitored = BFNs
3 with Clomid/Trigger/monitoring/progesterone = BFNs

Unfortunatly all you can do is wait till monday and see what happens. I know how bad this sucks for you and Im sorry. Hopefully Mondays numbers will ease your mind in a good way!!

I know that limbo feeling all too well.  My only advice is to find ANYTHING to keep your mind off of it (since there isn't anything you can do but wait).  DH and I watched a lot of Dexter to help pass the time.  FX it doubles & you can put this all behind you!!
My TTC Journey:
Dx: Hypothalamic amenorrhea
Progesterone to induce period w/ the goal of Clomid - never got period (September 2011). RE referral.
Femera - never responded to the meds (December 2011)
Clomid with TI - BFN (February 2012)
Injectables (Menopur) - hyperstimulated/canceled (March 2012)
Injectables #2 (Menopur) with TI- BFN (May 2012)
IVF - OHSS (transfer canceled), but 11 frozen! (June 1012)
FET - 1 transferred on 8/09/12. Beta#1 (11dp5dt): 350.3; Beta#2: 365; Beta#3: 157. Biochemical pregnancy.
FET # 2 - 1 transferred on 11/01/12. Beta#1 (11dp5dt): 337; Beta#2: 769. BFP!!! 1st ultrasound 11/28/12 showed heartbeat, but measuring 5 days behind. 2nd ultrasound 12/05/12 - miscarriage.
FET # 3 - 1 transferred on 1/24/13. Beta#1 (11dp5dt): BFN.
FET # 4 - 2 transferred on 3/28/13. Beta #1 (11dp5dt): 673; Beta #2: 1265. Just under 6 weeks - m/c at home. WTF appointment in late May.

fwiw, my RE wants to see a 66% increase over 48 h for 5dt or FET. sending t and p your way!

Congrats!!

I'm with you 100%!!  my second beta on Wed was a rise of 66%, so I am on pins and needles until Monday.

Best of luck to you.  I hope we both get more reassurance next week.

Best of luck for a rising beta! Try to stay super busy and keep your mind off of it this weekend. I know, that's probably impossible! :)

Me (33)- unexplained MH (35)- MFI due to Vericocele. Straight to IVF w/ICSI 9/12, Antagonist = BFN c/p, poor quality blasts, tested sperm dna fragmentation. Results all good, yay! New RE for IVF #2- 1/13., Long Lupron. ER on 1/22 -10R, 9M, 9F. Transfer on hold due to overstimming. FET in Feb. 2 frozen blasts. Another BFN & another c/p. RPL testing all negative besides MTHFR gene, vericocle repair surgery 4/12/13-Bilateral Grade 3 Vericocele found & fixed, IVF #3 with PGS 4/13- 11R, 9M, 9F. Transferred 2 normal=BFN, 3 normal on ice Everyone Welcome!!!

Thanks everyone :) i'm already feeling better and decided i'm in this for the long haul so i'm going to keep believing in my little FET pumpkins and hoping for the best. I'll keep you updated.

Genetic carrier screening negative (CF, Fragile X, SMA, Tay Sachs)
Karyotyping, autoimmune & thrombophilia panels all normal
IVF#3 (DE); 13R, 12M, 8F; 5dt of two “excellent quality” blasts = BFP

GL!  I am right there with you, although my betas started out even lower.  They have made jumps.

I've done alot (too much) googling and there are some success stories out there. 

Unfortunately, it is a big waiting game.

DOR and AMA
2/12-5/12: 4 IUI cycles = all BFN;
7/12: DE IVF # 1 (with ICSI)- 20R, 16M, 14F, 5DT of 2 blasts (4AB & 3BB); 6 frosties = BFN;
Lupus anticoagulant initially high, then found to be normal on hematology consult;
Follow up testing in September all clear;
Started synthroid for "high normal" TSH;
FET # 1- late October 2012- BFP on FRER; beta # 1- 21(low), beta # 2- 48 (still low), beta # 3- 132, beta # 4- 1,293; beta # 5- 5,606; last beta- over 100,000. First u/s 11/21- heard heartbeat
12/12- Officially an OB patient!
Level 2 ultrasound shows vasa previa and referral to MFM
Mandatory c section for delivery
Keeping fingers crossed
