Anyone have the Britax Frontier Booster?

Do you like it? We were thinking of getting one for DS who is 2 and meets the minimum requirements for it. Right now he is in a Britax Marathon 70. We would pass the Marathon to DS2.

He would be able to use it until he is 8, which I think would be most cost effective and be able to use a 5 point harness the longest.

TIA

We currently have DD in the Marathon 70 and the Roundabout 55. I'm not familiar with the Frontier but I have researched it and plan to purchase it when DD's grows out of her current seats or when when have another LO and DD meets the requirements. I love how the Frontier allows the child to be 5 point harnessed for a longer period.

We have two for K and E. it will last you beyond age eight. E is tall for her age and is on the last harness slot at age six. The booster mode will last a few years beyond that and will definitely get her to the 4'9" minimum to use a seat belt. It's been one of the easier car seats to use that I've owned. The fabric we have is the black and silver and wipes down easily and always looks clean, which is a plus. It takes me less than a minute to get a rock solid install with LATCH, maybe a few more in belt mode. Our belt need locking clips, otherwise it would be faster.

Thank you for your responses. I was thinking age 8 since the seat will expire by then 5 or 6 years is the time frame they are good for.

Not many seats have that short of an expiry. The Frontier is 9 years. That's why it's able to go from 2 to beyond 8 years - Britax was targeting this seat for kids coming out of rf taking them through to 4'9". That's also why the age minimum is 2, they're trying to model rf to age 2.

I have the Frontier for my oldest who is 4.  It is a great seat.  It is comfortable and easy to install.  The no-thread harness straps are awesome.

We love ours, are currently using it with the harness for DS1.  He loves it.  Only thing to know is it is really wide.  It is no problem b/c we are using it in our minivan, so there is plenty of room, but just know that the top side impact protection is really wide.

We have had my now 6 year old in his Frontier since he was 3. I love the safety of it and the convertibility of it. I am a huge fan of all Britax products though!
