FET was yesterday, transferred two, one B "good," and C "average." I now can truly understand all of the 2ww posts..I am going insane already!

Q: I am thankful for many things..an amazing husband, wonderful family and friends, great job, etc. IF can really dull my senses to all of that at times. Thanksgiving is a great time to be thankful for everything we do have even if it doesn't include a baby..yet!!

TTC since June 2011
DX: DH (30) severe MFI, severely low count & low motility
Me (32): all clear
Appt with Urologist 5/21/12: exam, ultrasound, bloodwork all normal.
Testicular Biopsy with TESE on 6/8/12. good sperm found! (left side only) froze sperm, failed thaw test :(
Orientation for IVF/ICSI on 6/13/12. Waiting for the green light following biopsy results...results show adequate sperm production both sides.
2nd SA 6/18/12: sample is "adequate for ICSI"
Plan: IVF/ICSI July 2012!
ER: 7/26/12. 15 eggs retrieved, all mature.
TESE/TESA/aspiration from epididymis, no motile sperm found :(
froze all eggs, the saga of praying for good sperm continues.
8/3/12: 2nd opinion from MFI uro on biopsy slides. Suspects "partial late maturation arrest."
Plan: more SAs, third biopsy/TESE with frozen back-up either from DH or DS.
SA 8/17/12: Zero sperm
SA 8/23/12: Zero sperm
9/26/12: SPERM FOUND! 15 eggs thawed, 12 survived and were ICSI'd, only 3 fertilized normally. Refrozen as embies and will thaw in Nov. Please survive and grow!
All 3 survived the thaw on 11/15/12!
FET 11/17/12: transferred 2, one 4B, one 4C. Beta 11/30:BFFN
moving on to DS
DIUI#1 2/18/13,50mg Clomid cd 3-7, Ovidrel trigger, Beta 3/4/13: BFN.
DIUI#2 3/19/13, 50 mg Clomid cd 3-7, Ovidrel trigger, Beta #1 (14dpiui) 4/2/13: BFP!!!! 150. Beta #2 4/4/13: 420 Beta #3 4/8/13: 2691. Beta #4 4/15/13: 15,086
1st u/s 4/8/13 shows one gestational sac
2nd u/s 4/15/13 shows yolk sac, fetal pole and early heartbeat
3rd u/s 4/25/13: measuring right on track. Heart rate 148 bpm

I'm on day two of stims.  So far I've had a horrible headache since day one of Lupron and now Im just so tired all the time.  Last night I slept from 5:30pm to 8:30am this morning and I feel like I could go back to bed.

 

QOTD:
Other than IVF, what are you thankful for?

1)  That my FIL's results came back normal (no cancer.)

2) For my loving husband who has been doing a great job with all of my shots, and going out of his way for me during this time.

3)  For my friends and family.

 Hugs to everyone that needs them, especially those experiencing a loss or BFN!  GL to all the 2WW, Huge congrats to the BFP!

Update: Did my trigger at 1:30 this morning along with 450 follistim whew! Dr. advised me yesterday that I was nice and suppressed this time. It looks like she may be able to even get 3 more eggs for a total of 12. ER is scheduled for 1:30pm Monday. So excited to get that over with. I am not crazy scared like last time because I know what to expect, but I am nervous. Transfer day looks like it will be Sat. if all goes well. FX this will really be my time this time.

Other than IVF, what are you thankful for? I am thankful for so many things! Especially the support that my friends,family, and you guys also my faith. My amazing husband, roof over my head, my employer who dissolved my position lol, it was a week later I started the first IVF and had the time to do this, Holiday season upon me because it is a nice distraction.

I am in complete shock! After a very negative home test yesterday tested with Internet strip I tested again today with First Response and got my first double lines ever!! Just took a second test with a digital and it is also BFP!!!! My beta is Tuesday but I am going to call tomorrow and get it moved to tomorrow. I want to get my second beta result before the holiday, not only bc I want to share but also bc I would otherwise have to wait till next Monday for my second numbers and to how it is going ! Now I wonder if there are one or two in there!!!

GL to all still in the wait! Congrats to all on the BFP list and hugs to all on the BFN list or lost!!

WOW look at all the BFP's and ladies in 2ww. Congrats to all of you lovely ladies and GL to all who are in there 2ww.

As for me I will be having my 5 day transfer tomorrow and joining the rest of you in a hellish 2ww

EDIT :to add Beta date which is 11/28 .

I am thankful for my wonderful understanding husband, finally having some insurance coverage and being able to get away this year for the holiday.
TTC since 9/10 consult 1/12 All testing came back fine Diagnosed with Unexplained infertility All treatments OOP 3 medicated IUI's All BFN IVF - ER 11/14 24R, 15M, 13F ET 11/19, BETA 11/28 BFFN --Next step FET in Jan ET scheduled for 1/24. My ET was this morning at 8. We transferred two, one A-/B+ and A-/B grade/quality. They explained that the A was were the start of the fetus is(which looked like a blob) I believe it's ICM which is the technical term and the B was the start of the placenta. The dreaded 2WW begins!

I'm on my third day of stims, the shots aren't bad my Gonal F has been tripled from last cycle and Menopur has been doubled and I'm feeling nothing! It's making me very nervous! Ultrasound and bloodwork tomorrow tomorrow! Hoping for progression! Congrats to those who have received BFP's! Big hugs to those who received BFN's or are having a difficult time. Fx to all those ladies in the 2ww. I'm pulling for all of you.

QOTD I'm thankful for so much this year. My mom is doing well with her chemo and has three treatments left in this cycle. Some wonderful ladies on here donated meds that I can't thank them enough for and I'm incredibly grateful to them. I'm thankful for my husband and family and friends too!

Second Opinion from RE is good. IVF#2 - November 2012. Estradiol Pills Started 11/6. Stims start 11/16. ER 11/26 - 7 eggs retrieved - all mature. 4 fertilized with ICSI. ET 11/29 Transferred 3 embryos. Beta is 12/10. 1st Beta 81 2nd Beta 160 and 3rd beta 360!!! First U/S 12/21/12 - We saw one beautiful gest. sac. 2nd U/S is 01/04/2013 - H/B 183 02/05/13 - NT Scan - everything looks good and IT'S A BOY!!! EDD 08/19/12

I'm still in the dreaded 2ww, but it's almost over.  I will probably POAS tomorrow.

QOTD:  I am thankful for my husband.  He took a new job this year for the main reason of earning more money to help pay for treatments.  But he commutes VERY far to work, it's high stress and most days he works over 11 hours a day.  He's an amazing man and I'm truly blessed to be his wife.  :)

Today is 9dpER/9dpo ...or 6dp3dt...however you want to look at it. Tested out the trigger it was gone so now its time to wait and get cray cray. Yesterday I had a major cramp on my left side for about 10min. Not quite sure if it was an implantation cramp or just some trapped gas....uggg. Last night I had a hormonal headache and backache so I was feeling sorta down in the dumps but when I woke up this morning they were both gone so beats me.

Beta is on Friday....eeeps

 

I'm thankful for a lot of things. My loving husband, my new home, a supportive network of friends and family....and my dog, LOL

Absolutely no idea when we can cycle again...looking into DE as well if IVF#4 fails again
PAIF/SAIF encouraged...give me some hope!!

Hi girls! I can't believe how many BFPs we have!! FX for those in the 2ww. :)

Update: My last U/S was yesterday. I ended up with six 17s, a 14, a 12, and a 10. I did one last night of stims last night (so I'm hoping the 14 will catch up) and will trigger tonight at 11pm. My ER is Tuesday and ET will be Friday or Sunday. I'm so excited and nervous. Nothing so far has gone like we thought it would with this IVF. Beta is 12/7, or 17dpER- YUCK!

QOTD: I'm really thankful for my husband and his ability to navigate my crazy :) I'm also thankful that my mom is still here after being dx with stage 3b stomach cancer in July.

Hi, basters!  Looks like I'll be triggering tonight, with ER on Tuesday 11/20.  I'm ready to be done with the stimming phase -- they let my follies get extra-large so I've been doing this for 10 days.  My boobs hurt, my lower back hurts, and I just want to get to the big reveal where I find out if I have any mature eggs.

QOTD:  I have so much in life to be thankful for -- my wonderful husband, a good family, a good job, material comforts, etc. etc.  Even taking IF into account I've been very lucky in life.  I try to keep that in mind when I start feeling sorry for myself.  :-) 
Me: 39. DH: 41. TTC since 2009.
FSH: 9.5 at highest. AMH (11/2011): 0.9. AFC: 10ish. HSG: Normal. SA: Normal.
July 2011 - Feb. 2012: 2 Clomid/TI cycles; 3 injectables/IUI cycles. Good response but BFNs.
Dec. 2011: Laparoscopy (clear) + hysteroscopy to remove uterine polyp.

April 2012: IVF #1: FSH 9.2, AFC 7-8. Antagonist protocol.
Started stims (300iu Gonal-F, 150iu Menopur) 3/28.
Added ganirelix 4/1. Trigger 4/5 (7 follies). ER 4/7: 7R, 0M, 0F. :-(

Nov. 2012: IVF #2: Long Lupron protocol.
Started Lupron 10/27. AFC 10+. Started stims (300iu Follistim, 150iu Menopur) 11/8.
Trigger 11/18 (7 follies). ER 11/20: 9R, 1M, 1F. 3dt of my one 6-cell embie on 11/23: BFN.

Dec. 2012: Hail Mary IUI cycle with leftover IVF meds: BFN.

Feb. 2013: IVF #3: Estrogen priming protocol.
Pre-AF: estro patch + ganirelix. AFC 8-10. Started stims (450 Follistim, 150 Menopur) 1/28.
Added ganirelix 2/4. Combined Lupron/HCG trigger 2/10 (6-ish follies).
ET 2/12: 6R, 1M, 1F w/rescue ICSI. My embie didn't make it. :-(

July 2013: DE IVF #1

I triggered last night and have ER tomorrow at 740. Excited to see how many mature eggs I have... My follicles ranged from 1823mm and estradiol was 2200. I have a lot going on in there. : I don't feel nervous about anything yet.

I'm thankful for a lot, but family is on the top of that list right now. I'm very blessed!

I had my transfer today of one expanding AAB blast. My beta seems so far away, Nov 30. I think I'm going to call them and ind out if its a mistake. Last time my beta was 10dpt not 12.

i am thankful for living in a state that has awesome IF coverage and for you doing the check in :)

ETA: I called the re and they said I can come in onhe 28th for my beta

I am so sorry, Firefly!! Fingers are triple crossed for your beta Tuesday. I really hope this is it for you but don't count out those 8 frosties! I have seen many failed IVFs with perfect blasts followed by successful FETs. Perhaps your body is just under too much stress still from ER. Don't give up! I am pulling for you!

Appt with Urologist 5/21/12: exam, ultrasound, bloodwork all normal.
Testicular Biopsy with TESE on 6/8/12. good sperm found! (left side only) froze sperm, failed thaw test :(
Orientation for IVF/ICSI on 6/13/12. Waiting for the green light following biopsy results...results show adequate sperm production both sides.
2nd SA 6/18/12: sample is "adequate for ICSI"
Plan: IVF/ICSI July 2012!
ER: 7/26/12. 15 eggs retrieved, all mature.
TESE/TESA/aspiration from epididymis, no motile sperm found :(
froze all eggs, the saga of praying for good sperm continues.
8/3/12: 2nd opinion from MFI uro on biopsy slides. Suspects "partial late maturation arrest."
Plan: more SAs, third biopsy/TESE with frozen back-up either from DH or DS.
SA 8/17/12: Zero sperm
SA 8/23/12: Zero sperm
9/26/12: SPERM FOUND! 15 eggs thawed, 12 survived and were ICSI'd, only 3 fertilized normally. Refrozen as embies and will thaw in Nov. Please survive and grow!
All 3 survived the thaw on 11/15/12!
FET 11/17/12: transferred 2, one 4B, one 4C. Beta 11/30:BFFN

Have continued to get positives on home tests every day (yes, I am crazy!). My beta is tomorrow and I am SO nervous. Fortunately I've kept busy all weekend so haven't been thinking about it too much.

Update: Today's monitoring appointment showed 10 follies; the biggest was at 10mm, so that's the only one they measured. Looks like the pedal to the metal with GonalF recruited a few more follicles...hope they stick around!

Not much to update here.  2ww is crawling by.  I think I'm going to start testing out my trigger tomorrow... it'll be 8 days past trigger, and it's usually gone around 10 days.  And I know I'm way too impatient to wait for my beta on 11/28.

I am still in the 2ww, but I can't take it anymore, I am going to POAS tomorrow, it will be 8dp3dt. I'm nervous. I have no symptons of anything.

Yeah! For all the BFP's. Hugs to all who could use one. 

I had my retrieval today. They got nine, which is four more than last time. My Dr. said they looked great. Better than last time and thinks we were perfect on the trigger time this cycle.

Looking forward to a good Fert report tomorrow and ET on Thanksgiving.

 I am thankful for so much. My husband who is so patient with me. My family and friends for their awesome support. While I certainly wish we were not in this position I am thankful we were able to come up with funds to do IVF. I wasn't sure that would even be possible!

I am late on my update. Had another monitoring appointment, we have made it to 19mm! So now I am waiting for the RE office to call and tell me when to trigger.
I have crazy lower back pain and am ready for the next step!

Thankful for my husband he is truely a great man and my rock, our families and hopefully our growing additions.

Hey Ladies,  Looks like it is me and pbj1975 left.  I had b/w and u/s today.  The tech said she didn't see any cysts or anything to hold up starting stims tonight.  I am just hanging tight for the call from the nurse.  I have to set up my pre-op appointment as well.  Hopefully my name will move up today to the stim category!

 QOTD: So much to be thankful for. Most is my DH (who is completely involved in the process and insists on doing all the shots) and my supportive family.  I am thankful for this site for answering all my questions and making feel less alone in the process and the knot (who helped with plan our Vegas wedding).

Dx: anovulatory due to prolactinoma (1.5cmx 1.5cm in 2006)
April 2012: MRI- questionable cyst 8mg by 12mm in pituitary
referred to RE by Ob-gyn after amenorrhea x 4+ months, provera ineffective, low estrogen level
cycle 1: May 2012, clomid 50mg; cycle cancelled, thin lining, no response
cycle 2: June 2012, femara 5mg; cycle cancelled, no response
cycle 3: July 2012, femara 7.5mg; cycle cancelled (largest folli on Cd12 & cd 16: 11, lining 4)

Aug. 8: met with RE, move to injectables if HSG and SA normal
Aug. 23: HSG all clear; DH- perfect
Switched to a new RE in early Sept. IVF here we come
Genetic testing reveals: Fragile X- Intermediate risk/grey zone.
IVF#1: ER 11/30: 14 retrieved, 10 mature, 7 fertilized. E2 prior to trigger 5200. Decision made to freeze 6 embryos and transfer later due to OHSS.

I got my BFP on 6dp5dt.  Was able to go in for an early beta Sat and second beta today and it doubled. Sigh of relief, we are now further that our last attempt ending in c/p.  Now I just need to get through the next two hurdles of 7 weeks and 12 weeks before I can start to actually enjoy this.

QOTD--I am thankful that my beta's doubled and my GF who has offered us all their old kids stuff furniture, etc that she has been hanging on to for us.  She has been a huge support system for me through all this. I've learned pretty much none of my other friends come close to understanding all this.
TTC since Oct 2008. 2010 endo found and removed, 2 IUI's IUI#3 becoming IVF#1 ER on 9-9-10, ET on 9-15 anb beta 9-23 BFN, 3-21-12 moving on to IVF#2 with a shared risk program ER 5-7-12 and 5DT on 5-12-12 After 3 1/2 years we had a positive beta 5-21. Heart beat 6-11, no heart beat at 8 weeks 6-19. D&C 6-22. Aug FET on 8-16 hpt bfp on 7dp5dt! You have me under BFP and 2ww.  :)  I'm still a BFP with a great second beta today.  I'm moving on to PAIF but will lurk here to see how you're all doing.  Good luck to everyone!

I am officially in the 2WW and PUPO with twins! ET was today at 12:30, they transferred one "excellent" blastocyst and another that looked very good.  The full bladder was the worst part, I was so uncomfortable and literally in some of the worst pain of my life! So glad that is over!  I am home resting now. We should find out tomorrow if our one remaining embryo was strong enough to freeze.

 Good luck to everyone on this journey, we are so lucky to have this & other boards!
