So it begins...

First off, I love lurking on this board, hope you don't mind me picking your brains.

second, we just confirmed what the doc suspected at the NT scan and baby #2 is a boy!

We casually talked names but already the questions are starting and I need some input and ideas.

 DD is Ava Elizabeth, DH and I like strong, traditional names. But the top two contenders couldn't be more different. 

Right now the two names we like best are Arlo and Ezra. 

DH's mn is Allen and I would like to pass it on if the fn allows.

I also like Henry but feel like its becoming quite popular, but for me, isn't a deal breaker. 

 So, thoughts? Opinions? Ideas? We scanned Nymbler and nameberry but didn't find much that stood out to us.

I like Henry, then Arlo, then Ezra. I know that Ezra is a boy's name, but it still doesn't sound masculine to me for some reason. Love Henry! I think all three work well with your chosen middle name.

Ezra has been one of my favorite boy names since I was 12  years old.  DH vetoes it each and every time.  Ezra Allen sounds really nice.  I'm not a big fan of Arlo.  Henry is another great name.  I think Henry might sound best with Ava but I don't put much hold in that unless the names are nearly identical (like Ella and Emma or something).

Other suggestions:

Judah, Benjamin, Levi, Titus, Isaac, Jeremiah, Oliver, Owen, Theodore (DS), Robert, Richard, Samuel, Thomas, William, Alexander....all come to mind when I think of strong, traditional boy names.

I love all of your names with Arlo being my favorite. However, I'm not sure I like the flow of Arlo Allen. I think Ezra Allen sounds great.

I'm partial to Henry, but I think Ezra is a great name! Arlo is NMS, but it does go well with your DD. 

i'm not a fan of Arlo Allen, but both Henry Allen and Ezra Allen sound really nice. Good luck!

If I did not know it was a boys name I would have assumed it was female. It is pretty feminine to me.

I, too, love Henry, and am sad with how popular it is.

I like Arlo and Ezra, Arlo just a bit more.

Names that I think are similar: Milo, Roscoe, Abel, Calvin, Oscar

I love Ezra!  I'm fond of biblical names, though.  

Arlo dosent really do anything for me, but I like Henry, as well.

I really like Arlo. Usually I don't care for matchy names but I think Arlo Allen actually sounds kind of nice.

Ezra is okay. Ezra Allen sounds nice together.

Not a fan of Henry.

despite the 'a' at the end of Ezra I've always thought of it as a strong boys name. My favorite is Ezra Allen, then Henry, then Arlo.

I love Ezra Allen. I can't get on board with Arlo, it sounds like a dog's name to me and I can't see it on an adult.
