What is 1 girl baby name and/or 1 boy baby name that you LOVE but that your DH/SO hates?

 

Me: I love Antonella for a girl (Ella for short) and DH is like no way. I also love Tyler and again, DH vetoed it. He likes much more traditional names like Lauren and Michael.

He's vetoed Brody for a boy (says he can't help but picture Brody Jenner when he says it).

As far as girls.....I can't think of any I like, but he hates.

I don't know of any that he hates, but we agree on not using ex's names.  We've got our boy name picked (99% sure) so the girl's is still up for discussion.  I did mention Madison and I don't think it's gonna fly.

I don't know if he HATES them, but he has vetoed these and I would say they are my #1 choice for both. 

Girl:  Penelope (NN Penny)

Boy:  Elliot -- though friends of ours just named their new baby boy Elliot, so I guess I'm happy someone is using it since H vetoed it for us. 

He likes Emery for a girl and Gabriel for a boy.  I like them, but not as much as my picks.  Hopefully when the time comes we can find something we both love.

Don't have any girl's names, but I love Calvin and Vincent, both of which he hates :/

We've settled on the girl names but one of my absolute favorites was Rose. Dh vetoed it big time. I wanted it to be Lillian Rose but now its Lillian Fey which actually works better because Faye is my mother's middle name and Fay is his mother's first name.

My favorite boy name is Donovan. Dh vetoed it the first time we discussed and I vetoed using his middle name Edward as a first name too. But he's offered a compromise of using Donovan as the first name and him getting to pass on Edward as the middle name. I'm not going to put too much stock in it cause it seems like his favorite boy name changes every other month.

I love the name Clara. It was my great aunt's name. DH thinks it's an old-lady name and kids will tease her for it.

I like Deanna and hes not the biggest fan.  For boy names hes not into any new names, he likes more traditional.

I love, love, LOVE the name Landon for a boy. DH shot it down when I was KU with DS.

When we were naming DD I fell in love with Drew.  DH didn't like the boy's name for a girl though.  I still love it, but we haven't discussed any names for future kids.

I love Everett for a boy, DH doesn't care for it. As far as girls go, I really used to like the name Iris....DH isn't crazy about it.

I love Everett too and H doesn't like it.  

In fact, I love "E" names and H has vetoed all.  Everett, Emmett, Elliot...

I like Iris a lot, hence my SN.  I've been using this as a "pen name" since high school. =)  I go all younique on the spelling so I don't have to be Iris23094829308.

DH has loved Oscar ever since he was a kid. It's not a name I would ever have thought of, but I love that he loves it, so it's now our #1 boy name.

DH really didn't like Zipporah, but when he realized how much I loved it, he said ok to it being our #1 girl MN.

Matilda is a lovely name. You should really keep pushing for that one. :)

I'm lucky, DH and I both have quirky and vintage taste in names. I really like Ophelia and when I first suggested it DH didn't even blink before responding that he liked it. His most recent suggestions have been Linus and Ira. We're pretty much on the same page.

I love Rose, it was part of my grandmother's first name (Rose Ann) and even her last name for a little while with her second husband.  We hope to use it as a middle name.

We need to only have boys.  There are several we can agree on - Owen, Michael, Jackson.  But, we completely disagree on all girl names.  There isn't a single one we both like!

I like Tristan for a boy. DH hates it. The boy name he loves I could agree to but its not my favorite. For a girl, he says I can pick the name and I don't have any ideas.

Me: 31 DH: 31. B/W: good. SA: good.
November 2012: Paratubal cyst found during U/S.
January 10, 2013: Lap removed paratubal cyst and Stage 2 Endometriosis.
January 2013: Unmedicated. P4 was 8.4. Meds recommended.
February 2013: Femara 2.5 mg and TI. P4 was 8.5. Meds will be doubled next cycle.
March 2013: Femara 5 mg and TI. P4 was over 11.
April 2013: Femara 5 mg and IUI#1. P4 was 11.4. Post wash over 40 million.
May 2013: Femara 5 mg and TI. Vacation during FW.

I love the name Theodore. His nickname would be Teddy. I'm a bit obsessed with it. DH thinks it's too much with the name we have picked out. We've agreed on Malcolm, but we're not sure if we want it to be a first or middle name.

We have our girl name picked out, but he wouldn't budge for Vera. He says it's too old.

I LOVE Coraline. But he does not. He wouldn't mind shortening it to Korra. Korra Elizabeth. <3
