Bringing clothes, just so I have options, last time all DS got was a shirt and diapers and blankets. This time, i am going to bring clothes so if we get visitors, LO can stay warmer.

I had a few little things with me when I had my son and I remember one of the nurses getting snippy with me for changing him into our clothes (as opposed to hospital clothes).  Not that it would stop me in the future, but I just want you to know that you might get that reaction.

I never dressed my kids. They were either naked against me or in a onesie and blanket.

I'll bring something for them to go home in but not to wear in the hospital.

I brought one outfit last time....they take pictures in the hospital, so he wore that outfit for the pictures, and then it was also his going home outfit.  Other than that he wore a white long-sleeved wrap onesie that the hospital provided and a blanket that the hospital provided.  By outfit, I should clarify....it was a cute one-piece sleeper, nothing fancy.

I'm planning on bringing clothes for baby too. Like 4 sleepers with matching hats besides his going home outfit. I don't like the little white shirts they put on them...I think they're ugly and I'm bringing receiving blankets from home too. The striped ones that the hospital uses near me are the same for every baby. I want him to have his things when there...not just hospital stuff. I'm so weird about it. I am going to be having tons of pictures of him and I want him to be dressed...like me. I don't plan on staying in the hospital gown either. It reminds me of being sick. I am bringing older clothes that I don't mind tossing if they get gross.

We can't wait to meet baby Mason!

Check with your hospital. Ours does not provide any clothing, only diapers and a paper shirt; so we have to bring all of the baby's clothes for the whole stay.

I have always packed outfits. I always take the Pj's with the elastic on the bottom instead of the button down ones since they are constantly being checked and its easier for all the diaper changes...I take at least two of those with matching caps to keep them warm...I also pack onesies in case I need it to put under their going home outfit. I also pack blankets, socks, mittens/ to prevent scratches (carters brand is great) and a pacifier in case its needed.

Mostly just the shirts the hospital provides, but since it looks like we'll be there for Turkey Day (being induced tomorrow night) I packed the "MyFirst Thanksgiving" onesie we have.

I'm bringing some kimono tops, footed pants, sleepers with elastic bottom and 2 sleepers with footies. We don't really have a coming home outfit since we don't know what we are having.'

I'll bring an outfit for going home, but while we're in the hospital, I'd rather use their onesies so I can leave the dirty laundry, haha. I'll bring my own blanket for the baby.

I thought you were asking "what is babywearing?"  Anyway.  You should definitely bring clothing for your child.  Our hospital had a few things with my first babe (three yrs ago), but after our second there was nothing available.  We brought clothing for both of them, and will do the same for our third.  LO will be wearing an undershirt ("onesie") and jammies home from the hospital.  No need for fancy outfits.  We also have a shower cap style carseat cover to keep him or her toasty.

Our hospital has a policy that all babies must be in clothing provided by the hospital so we'll only be bringing an outfit to bring LO home in.

I got some really adorable organic cotton Hudson Baby onesies on sale, so I'll be bringing a few of those. Though, I imagine like PP said, I'll have LO nekkid (except for a diaper) and against my skin most of the time :)

We put DS in the hospital provided top and a sleep sack. Now the hospital provides a sleep sack. We will bring a couple different going home outfits. Honestly it was so easy for the nurses and doctors to assess DS in a sleep sack where they could just unzip check him over and then zip it right back up.
