Sleeping Better But Off Schedule

Not sure how to deal with this yet:

LO is finally sleeping better at night - Goes to bed at 10p and sleeps sometimes til 2a which is usually fine because then he is up again at 5a but then sometimes makes it til 4a - which is great! I'm not complaining but then he is up again around 6a-6:30a and I like to get him up and feed him at 7:30a but he just fell back to sleep from the last feeding and I don't want to wait til his next feeding which is usually between 10-10:30a and it really just throws the whole day out of whack.

Anyone go through something like this? I have heard from several places that it is good to get your LO up at the same time every day so that they stay on schedule plus I have tried just letting it go and it really makes things tricky at night if he isn't on schedule.

2 months is really early to worry about a schedule. Feed your LO when he wakes up, and adjust your schedule accordingly. They do get more consistent as they get older, but think about it--if you didn't have an alarm, would you wake up precisely at the same time every day?  Are you hungry at the exact same times every day?  No-so why do we expect our newborn babies to?

This exactly. 2 months is really too young to be on a schedule. We have a "routine" with our LO but even that goes out the window a lot of the time. You kind of just have to go with the flow.

Yes

All of this! I hate schedules so I don't expect LO to be any different. I go back ton work next Monday. I know that not having a schedule will make the first few days a bit rough, but we will work something out that works for us. And babies change so much when they are young so I feel like setting a schedule is pointless when we will have to make a whole new one every other week.
