Name suggestions/opinions wanted

DH is stuck on the middle name Rachel. It's a family name, his side. We both like the first name Alice but I am not crazy about it with Rachel. Anyone have any first name suggestions that go with Rachel? How do you think Alice Rachel Bunk sounds? Our last name is something like Bunk one syllable and ends in that sound. Thanks.

I feel like a three syllable first name would work best with the middle name Rachel. I have no logical explanation for that opinion though, haha.

Is Alice your first choice FN for the both of you?  I think it sounds fine, but do you like Rachel at all?  If you don't like it, then drop Rachel.  I would use my first choice FN then find a name to work with a MN I wasn't even crazy about.

I don't think that it flows super well, but it's not bad either. People will just call her Alice "Bunk" in the end anyways. I say make your hubby happy :) GL!

I think Alice Rachel goes fine together.  I really don't see anything wrong with it.

I actually think it sounds fine.

 

If you don't like Rachel though, you should use it.  Could you do a variation on it?  Alice Rae sounds pretty as well.

I think Rachel Alice flows better, but Alice Rachel isn't bad and no one is going to know the middle name unless you tell them. I think it sounds fine with a one syllable last name.

I agree with PP -- Rachel Alice sounds slightly better, but I would think that you might want to prioritize finding a FN you both love and a MN with meaning over the way the two names sound together.  

Other names that might sound nice with Rachel...

Eleanor Rachel

Claudia Rachel

Evelyn Rachel

Allison Rachel

Amelia Rachel
