What do you think of the name Alana? I use to like it but, I don't like the show Honey Boo Boo. Do you think about that show when you see the name Alana?

I love the name Alana and it has been around for a long time. Do not worry about stupid Honey Boo Boo.

Honestly, I forgot all about Honey Boo Boo being named Alana.  I seriously don't think people will make that connection.  It's a beautiful name, I say use it!

I like the name Alana! I didn't even know Honey Boo Boo had a real name, so I think you are ok with that.

I've never even watched the show, so I had no idea Alana was even a person on it. I think Alana is a lovely name.

I think Alana is a nice name.  I don't watch honey boo boo so that connection never occured to me.  Anyways, your daughter will be around long after her 15 minutes of fame are over, so I wouldn't let that deter you from using the name if you love it.

When I hear Alana, I think Alanna from Tamora Pierce's "Song of the Lioness" books. It's a beautiful name and the character is actually very cool. Good YA fantasy fiction with a strong female hero.
