Hello there, expensive diaper bag...

Do you change the baby's diaper for me or something? Why are you so expensive? I just found this diaper bag on amazon. I meant to sort price low to high but I went high to low instead, oops. So is Kate Spade really that awesome? It doesn't even look practical. I wonder how many celebrities tote it around! Thankfully I don't find it that cute. The one I like is under $100 which works for me! What is your diaper bag budget?

I haven't looked so I have no idea what they'll cost, but I'd love to spend around $50 on one.   But who knows.   Though I can pretty much guarantee I'm not going over $100.

I havent really put much thought into it. (price)

I just want something I like that is easy to carry & will fit everything that I will need to lug around!

Id spend the extra money if I love the bag & could possibly use it as a tote after the fact.

But Im not going to spend $400!

I never used a diaper bag. I always found them to be expensive, ugly, and useless after a year.  I just used my biggest purse/tote and got something similar to this

First: LOVE that bag!

Second: diaper bags are overrated!

I bought a plain black Skip & Hop bag ($80 regluar but I bought it at 50% off) for DH to use and I just used a large purse. We cloth diaper and there is way more room for extra diapers and a wet bag in a large purse. Plus, you don't have to walk around carrying a "mom bag"!

You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have

First off, I would never buy that on Amazon, they are overpricing it, lol! Second, I went the designer route for my diaper bag last time because I wanted it to look like anything BUT a diaper bag, and frankly, I think a lot of the diaper bags out there are ugly. You can always hit the outlets for a designer diaper bag too, I think mine ended up being like 50% off.

I swore I never would, but I bought a Petunia Picklebottom. It was $179, so not TERRIBLE. But costly just the same. But I got it and for now, I adore it. We'll see once I have to actually start using it.

It's because of the name...just like buying an $800 pair of shoes (which I would not do either). Still, I have a Petunia Picklebottom, which is pretty pricey. A few ladies went in on it for my DD's shower. I love it.

I had a Kate Spade bag with DD...it was too big and looked too much like a diaper bag. That one is much better.

Lurking from 3rd tri board but this weekend I just bought a Petunia Picklebottom at Nordstrom Rack!!! It was priced at $149 and marked down to $89!! I absolute loved it! They had 4 different styles to pick from...It was kinda hidden in the baby area and it took me 7 months to find one ..so start looking!

I just got the Kate Spade Stevie Baby Bag in Stucco.  It was originally $400 but down to $112 at the Kate Spade outlet!

I haven't actually looked at a diaper bag for myself at all but when my sister was pregnant with her first, my gift to her was a diaper bag... that I made myself. I went out and found a pattern that had everything I thought it would need (zipper compartments for pacifiers and bottle holders on the side and such). I don't think it was more than $50. (my mom helped me with a lot of it)

 

But it's super nice. Nice and soft (not that weird material that I feel like most have) and hasn't had any tears in it. Two years running and it's still an awesome bag.
