Got my new protocol!

So my cycle was cancelled last Saturday due to understimulation and then my estradiol dropped. So I've been sitting awaiting CD1, which my RE said would take about 12 - 14 days. Well 6 days after cancellation (Friday) I got my period. NEVER have I been so excited to get it!

Anyway, I called my RE immediately. She told me that although it was sooner than she'd like we're good to start again. She sent my new protocol and all my new meds were delivered on Saturday. So here we go again!

ER scheduled for 12/5 and (hopefully!) ET on 12/10
TTC since 2/11 - Unexplained IF B/W revealed high prolactin levels. Taking bromocriptine for prolactin.
IUI #1-3 = BFN
IVF November = Cancelled (undermedicated = small follicles)
IVF December = ER 12/6 - 6R/4M/Only 1F
Transfered our one and only blast (3AA) on 12/11

Him: 27 ~ perfect swimmers
Laparotomy with partial oophorectomy 8/2009 to remove cysts/endo. Stopped BC 4/2010.
Multiple clomid rounds from 11/2010 to 6/2011. ~ All BFN
IUI w/clomid 7/2011. IUI w/clomid & injectables 11/2011 & 1/2012. ~ All BFN
Occasionally using acupuncture.
IVF #1:EPP 5/2012 ~ (4R, 3M, 2F w/ICSI). Both embies txfrd. ~ BFN
BCP to manage Endo from 10/2012 to 12/2012.
PAIF/SAIF always welcome!

October- 100mg Clomid + Trigger + TI = BFN
IVF # 1: Stims 11/30 ER 12/12/12! (10R, 8F, 2 Transferred, 6 Frosties!)
Beta #1- 176 c/p @ 4w4d
FET #1 February 26th
Lost 4 Frosties to Thaw, Transferred 2 = BFFN
IVF # 2 in May Stims Begin 5/10

Were you on Ganirelix by chance? If so, the same darn thing happened to me in July. My RE switched me to microdose Lupron and I had much better results.

IF testing started March 2011
Endocrinology related tests from October 2011-February 2012
March 2012--Clomid --No response-Straight to injects!
April & May 2012-- IUI#1 & #2 = BFN
July 2012- IVF#1 cancelled
September 2012-IVF#1.2--BFN
November 2012- IVF #2 --BFN
January 2013- IVF #3-- BFFN
February 2013--Found a new RE but first back to the Endocrinologist for more diagnostic testing
Absolutely no idea when we can cycle again...looking into DE as well if IVF#4 fails again
PAIF/SAIF encouraged...give me some hope!!

What is your new protocol? That's exciting to start again. My doctor is having us take December off after this IVF was cancelled boo :(

Good luck! I assume this is another IVF, and not IUI cycle? Also, did your RE say why is "was sooner than she'd like"? Just curious.

This is another IVF. We had 3 failed IUI's before that. Not sure why she said that. She did mention that she was hoping that my cycle lined up with their dates/times for retrievals. They seem to be on a pretty set schedule. She put me on BCPs for a week to help meet the schedule

Interesting! I was on Ganirelix, and they've prescribed the same thing for this next cycle. hmm....perhaps a question I need to be asking. Thanks!

Sorry for having to wait! It's the worst!!

New protocol is:

125 IU Follistim (10 days) (last time I was 75 IU per day)

75 IU Menopur (10 days)

1 shot Ganirelix (4 days)

Doxycycline (hate this stuff!!)

10,000 IU hCG

Then prednison, crinone progesterone gel, PIO, and 81mg aspirin post retrieval.

IUI #1-3 = BFN
IVF November = Cancelled (undermedicated = small follicles)
IVF December = ER 12/6 - 6R/4M/Only 1F
