Drinking less at daycare

My son will be 11 months old next week. A few weeks ago, he switched to a new class/teacher at daycare. Lately he has been drinking a lot less at daycare (only 6oz for the whole day today). He is getting solids about 3 times a day but does not always eat all of what he is offered. I'm wondering if switching teachers has something to do with his decreased intake of formula or if he just happened to coincide with an increased preference for "real" food. Some days at home, he takes his bottles ok but not always. I'm not concerned that he has decreased his overall amount in general, but sometimes I do worry if he doesn't get lot. So far I've managed to get at least 24 oz in him most days, but so far today he has only had 17. If he eats a full 7 or 8 before bed, we'll be ok I guess.

I'm just wondering if it's normal for babies to begin to self-wean from formula (or BM) at this age. I always offer him a bottle before solids and instruct daycare to do the same, but they do give him solids if he repeatedly refuses a bottle despite multiple efforts. He doesn't really do very well with a sippy cup yet, so needs help with that. I don't mind doing it when I can, but at daycare I doubt they really have the time to sit there and help him drink 6 or 7 oz out of sippy when there are other babies to be taken care of as well. Should I start having them try to offer milk at the same time as solids? Any other suggestions? Should I even be concerned at this point?

TIA.

DD is the same age and we are in the same boat. She is breastfed but takes a bottle at daycare. She is only taking about 9 oz during day and they feed her food twice a day and a snack. She has started to be less interested in nursing during the day as well.

Just wanted chime in here.  My DD is almost 10 months and also has gone from 3-4 bottles a day to 1-2 small 5 oz bottles a day of BM.  She eats plenty of food though.  I still pump once a day at work and I BF her plenty at home in the morning and once at night, and in the evening.
