Endometrial biopsy - Check!

Had my endometrial biopsy today and OMG, it was extremely painful.  Much, much worse than the HSG but thankfully also VERY quick.  My RE was like, please just try not to kick me and, while I thought it was funny when he said that, once he started scraping I did want to give him a firm foot to the jaw!!  Pretty much as soon as it was done though, I was okay... had some bad cramps for a few minutes and they gave me some Motrin and now I just have some mild on and off cramps.

I talked to him briefly about my meds for IVF #2 as they changed very slightly.  For IVF #1 I was on 300mg of Follistim and 150 of Menopur.  For this round we're doing 225 of each.  He just said he wanted to adjust slightly to see if I responded better with the different dosing.  We'll see.

Anyway, I am on BCP until 11/26, baseline 11/29, start stims 11/30 then ER around 12/11 or so!!

Sorry the biopsy hurt but yay for starting the IVF!  Good luck Juicy!!!

Oh, Jeebus Petes, that sounds horrifying. I thought the HSG was the most painful experience of my life so I can't imagine what the biopsy felt like. Yikes.

Glad you're feeling better, though. I should be hitting ER somewhat around when you are, so GL cycle buddy! 


TTC #1 for about 3.5 years
ME: 37, PCO, immune issues?, teflon uterus (my added diagnosis)
HIM: 38, Perfect. (Showoff.)
Month before starting Clomid, spontaneous pregnancy. m/c at 7 weeks and D&C.
Four months of Clomid, one IUI, with Intralipid each cycle: BFNs all
IVF 1.0 July 2012 -- Lupron, bravelle, menopur, estrogen, progesterone supps, intralipid. 14 ER, 14 fertilized, 1 blast transferred, 2 on ice. BFN
FET 1.1 -- 10/2, transferred our 2 blasts. Lupron, PIO, estrogen, baby aspirin, prednisone. BFN.
IVF 2.0 December 2012 -- Bravelle, Menopur, Ganirelix, Prednisone, Metformin, estrogen, progesterone supps. 22 eggs retrieved on 12/14, 17 mature, 15 fertilized. OHSS anticipated so ET cancelled. 3 embryos frozen.
Broke up with old RE. Moving on to new dude. Maybe the change of scenery will be just the trick for our frosties. On BCPs for possible April FET.

YAY Cycle buddy!!  I have to admit, with the HSG comparison, that I didn't really have any real blockage in my tubes so I just suffered a brief amount of sharp pain.  But, yeah, this biopsy pain was much worse.  Thankfully DH was there to hold my hand. :)

Ugghh... I feel your pain! My endometrial bx was by far the most painful experience in my life! I remember yelling the F word and I don't care. Hope you're feeling better, made me miserable for days!!
