That's exactly why I like them. Plus they're easy to carry around and lightweight. DS never liked to be swaddled and I didn't nurse but I keep them in the car (to use as a blanket or to drape over the carseat when car is in the sun since it's black), in his diaper bag (useful as a place to lay him down when changing him out), in his crib to sleep with, in the playroom to use as a hide and seek blanket, etc. I have them stashed all over the place.
Mostly they're super soft, cute patterns and really versatile.
