Period added to prevent a Google search. Sorry, should have mentioned it. Thought it was common knowledge on here.
Do you mean to prevent this name from coming up in a google search from someone not on TB? I'm confused.
It's a common practice around here for people to interrupt the spelling of youneek names with periods so, if someone does a search for the name, the post won't show.
The idea is if you want to talk about the name John, for example, but you don't want the search term "John" to return your discussion thread then typing J.ohn will prevent search tools from finding it.
This only sometimes works as, more often than not, people spell the name without the period in a response.
ETA: Regarding the original post, I can see both sides of it but I don't understand people who complain a lot on Facebook, especially when they rehash the same issue repeatedly.
