I don't know why I even bother replying to some of these 1st Tri threads anymore.

BFP #1: 1/10/12; EDD: 9/20/12, born too early on 5/7/12 (20w4d) due to IC/PTL/chorioamnionitis.
BFP #2: 8/30/12; EDD: 5/9/13, emergency cerclage placed at 22w5d, dx cardiomyopathy, strict bed rest for 14 weeks. DD born at 39 weeks.

Here's my response to you, ScruffyBean718, you dirty deleter!!! Sorry your OB didn't call the local news to tell them you are pregnant!

"If your OB did an internal exam then s/he could feel that your uterus was appropriately larger indicating pregnancy. I had to wait until my 12 week appt. for this much, myself.

HPTs at 99%+ accurate and if you have had several BFPs, and your period is several weeks late now -- then you should be satisfied with that. So, I guess I don't understand why you are so devastated.

My OB took samples of blood, urine, spit, and my constipated poo to confirm my pregnancy before I even missed my period. I guess my OB is more professional and thorough so I didn't have to leave my first appointment crying and devastated.

Uhhhhhhh.......................... If it's a prenatal visit, doesnt that go without saying? They didn't tell me either.. But they sure did give me some free stuff, and took a crap load of blood.  Shoot! I better be pregnant if they took all that blood, and educated me on being pregnant...
