If you get a BFP this cycle, when will you tell family? At Christmas? Sooner? Later? How will you tell them?

If we get a BFP this cycle I think we will tell our families at Christmas.  We host Christmas Day so that will be a good time to tell them.

We do a white elephant gift exchange/game thing and DH and I want to rig it if we have a BFP  to share. We'll put in an extra gift, which will be a wrapped onesie that says Baby Q coming August 2013. Then we will make sure me or DH gets to go first and will select that gift an open it.

We'll wait as long as possible. We have absolutely no support from our families, as my last pregnancy, delivery and recovery were pretty scary. They assume and hope that we're done having kids and will be shocked and possibly p!ssed if I get pregnant again.

My mom will know probably immediately after I tell my husband. Everyone else we will wait until we hit the 12 week point.

We would tell them at Christmas.

My parents live out of state and we will be going there for Christmas, so it would be wonderful to be able to tell them in person. I would love to tell them in person, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. My family would also notice that I am not drinking. I would be around 6 weeks then. To make it fair, we would tell the in-laws when we celebrate Christmas as well.

If I don't get pregnant this cycle, then I will probably wait until at least 8 weeks to tell them, maybe even longer.

Wow that's horrible. It really drives me BSC when other people decide what's right for me/my family.  People can think what they want, but they don't need to voice their opinion.

I was talking to my mom about TTC #2 and she told me it was too soon and DD Isn't ready. My mom and I are really close and I was so piiiisssed/hurt/upset with her. She loves DD to piece and  I know she'll be thrilled when the time comes, but till the STFU.

When we get a BFP we will announce at 12 weeks. We told my in laws early last time and told them to not tell anyone but MIL didn't keep it a secret. We learned our lesson last time. If we don't want the world to know, don't tell anyone until you are ready for everyone to know.

We'll tell our immediate families pretty soon. I had a m/c before we had our son, and we had only told my parents. We went ahead and told DH's parents after the fact. We figure we would tell them if I had a m/c, so we'll go ahead right away. We'll probably tell them with a typical Big Brother tshirt on DS.

If I get KU this cycle I will tell my immediate family only (mom, dad, sister) for Christmas.  For my mom in particular, I would buy her a onsie that says "World's Best Grandma" or something.  I would ask them NOT to tell extended family yet, though.  I know it would be very tough, but I wouldn't be far enough along yet to be comfortable telling many people.  I'd be hesitant to even tell my immediate family, but my mom knows we're trying and would just be so excited I wouldn't be able to help myself =).

I'll tell when asked.  Meaning: I won't lie.  My family knows that we're trying again, but also that it isn't going as easily as the first time.  My sister in particular knows that my last cycle was 80-some days, so it's not something that she can check in with me about every month.  With 80 day cycles, you get a chance every 2.5 - 3 months!

I won't do a big production when I tell them.  This will be our second kid.  5th grandkid on DH's side.  8th grandkid on my side.

They'll probably ask at Christmas and if so, I'll be honest, but I won't volunteer it.

We will tell immediate family at Christmas and wait until 12 weeks to tell anyone else. This sounds terrible but we would ask ILs to keep it a secret from SIL. I honestly could not deal with her if I had a mc, I hate to think that way but have to protect myself from the urge to punch her in the face.

We waited until 12 weeks last time and I miscarried a few hours after. I think we will wait until 12 weeks again for family and wait longer for a rest of the world announcement. I'm not terribly excited about all the attention I'm going to get while pregnant. We are pretty private people. At least once the baby is born the attention will be on the baby.

WIth DS we waited until 9 weeks (after our 8wk apt) so we could use the sono pic to tell our immediate families.  Then we told our friends and rest of the family after 12 weeks. 

This time, I think we might tell our immediate families right away, since they know we've been trying for a while now and I don't know if I could keep it from them.  But we will absolutely still wait until 12 weeks to share with the rest of the world!

Since I see my MIL and dad about every other day I don't think I can keep it a secret long.

I'm making calendars and the month the baby is due will have a photo of DS in a 'big brother' shirt with the due date marked. It takes Walgreens 3-4 days to make them, so that long.

If we get pregnant this cycle I'm defintely telling our immediate family (which is huge) on Christmas. But not announcing it to the world. I haven't thought of how we'd tell them yet but we'd think of something good.

I think we will wait until 12 weeks too, but even then I will be nervous because of what happened last cycle.. I had only told SO and my sister but it was still hard to tell my sister that I had lost the pregnancy..

 I wouldn't tell anyone specifically because of the holidays...we live close to family so we can tell them anytime. I will tell my mom pretty much as soon as my DH knows because she and I are so close!  Our 1st PG we told immediate family (right away) and friends (around 12 weeks) and then MC at 12.5 weeks.  Our 2nd PG we had only told our parents and MC at about 5 weeks.  DH says he doesn't want to tell his parents right away next time because of the 2 previous losses, which is fine by me.  I honestly don't know how long I would have to be PG next time before I wasn't afraid of another MC...probably 40 weeks, lol!  So I don't know when we would tell extended family and friends if we get PG again!

Christmas. I plan on putting a gift (the last gift I will give to MIL and FIL), in a gift, in a gift, in a gift, until she gets to a tiny box that says "your gift will be arriving in August 2013."

Of course since I have it all planned out I probably jinxed myself in ten ways. :)

My parents cannot keep a secret. They have absolutely no filter when it comes to stuff like this. There is absolutely no way I would tell them until after 12 weeks, which is the point at which we would feel comfortable telling people. We might tell my MIL earlier than that because she lives across an ocean, but I'm not really sure.

If I get pregnant this cycle i plan on telling them after the first of the year. My son turns two in mid jan so I plan on having one of his two year pics taken in a big brother shirt and giving it to my parents and inlaws or sneeking a ultrasound pic in with the envelope.. It will be right around 10 weeks.
