I need HELP!!

My son is 15 months old and I am still battling with PPD. Immediately after having him I started on Prozac which caused suicidal ideation and I went into the hospital for a week. I went to the hospital 2 more times within 4 months for medication changes and reactions to meds. I am see a therapist regularly, psychiatrist, on meds and have a decent family support system.

My husband and I have started talking about having a 2nd child. He wants to look into adoption (pricing is insane), and I want to look into natural pregnancy. He is very against my idea because he doesn't know if he can through that again with me (and raising 2 kids).

Has anyone on here gone through this and if so did you have another child? Did you have PPD (better or worse than 1st time). I'm just looking for some motherly support and women who have gone through this.

I had PPD fairly bad with my first and the second time around I had more PPA with a little PPD...I ended up back on meds but am feeling much better now!  Came out of it a lot sooner this time and bonded with LO much faster second time around.  best of luck with whatever you choose!

One of my best friends had horrible PPD with her 1st daughter so bad that her DH had to take complete care of there DD for weeks but with DD #2 she didn't have it at all.  I have always heard that it's often better the second time around because you know more of what to expect.

I have four children and it gets worse each time. I am now on no 4, and I would suggest waiting until ur mental state is better. If ur having difficulty now don't add another hold to the mix jmo

I had Post Partum OCD. I wish I could say it went away but the second child didn't help it go away, it stayed about the same. If you don't want meds or want to support what you are doing already I would try this MP3 download. You just listen with head phones in bed at night and it really helps. They have a whole series of other MP3's as well for Hypno-birthing in case you decide to have a second baby and many more including depression, etc.Check it out.

I am pregnant for the third time and my depression and anxiety are back. I am controlling it with a juice. I was told to blend celery alfalfa and carrots and believe it or not its keeping me calm about 90 of the time. Sure beats taking meds during pregnancy.
