I'm not going to worry about it any time soon. I have heard doctors say they should be weaned from pacifiers and bottles by age one, but I have also heard they can have it for a few years before it starts to mess with their teeth. My plan is by age 2. My son uses pacis in the car, for sleep and he'll stick one in his mouth when he is playing if he find one laying around. They also help him sleep through the night since he'll find one in his crib to help him go back to sleep.
As far as bottles go, he loves to drink out of straw sippy cups as well, so we will start to use them a bit more when he switches to milk instead of formula. He so far has let me know when he is ready for new things (such as sleeping in his crib, needing more solid foods, etc) so I plan to go by his lead as long as its not around 3 or 4 years
