Re-intro and adenomyosis

Hi everyone!  Happy Thanksgiving Eve!

I had intro'd myself back in the spring before starting my first IVF procedure (ended in a c/p).  Since then, I have laid low, responded and lurked.  I had attempted IVF #2 which was cancelled due to poor response after 10 days of stims.  On top of my endometriosis - discovered I have a low AMH and now newly adenomyosis from MRI yesterday.

Currently, taking bcp for IVF #3 (well technically IVF #2.1) and waiting to hear from my RE about adenomyosis and if I can still continue with everything as planned. Previous attempts were antagonist protocol - this cycle MDL with human growth hormone and estrogen priming (in addition taking DHEA).

Seems like since #1 there have detour after detour.  I took a 3 month break in between 1 and 2 to try acupuncture and diet changes.  Lost 20lbs, but with a poor response, it was disheartening (I do not blame acupuncture or diet).

Wondering if anyone else has knowledge on adenomyosis?  I know the only cure is a hysterectomy..

Thanks for reading and will try to be more active in posting!  Good luck to everyone cycling, breaking, preparing to and waiting for betas!

HI there, sorry it's been difficult so far.  I totally get how you're feeling and where you are.  I just posted a q on PAIF about endo.  Curious how you were diagnosed.  do you have symptoms?  My DE IVF failed  - I know my eggs are crud, but wondering if my uterus is just as cruddy.  My lining never really gets THAT fluffy, but my RE has (in my opinion) been more focused on my eggs, etc.  What led your RE to give you an MRI, etc?

Checking Thyroid panel again, Hysterogram as well; FET most likely in Jan. '13.have reconsidered a parallel path of adoption.

DoublePortion thanks!
SuzanneJesse I had an incidental finding of an ovarian cyst on a CT for an unrelated thing. Had follow up, ultrasound and ultrasound, then MRI...led me to a diagnostic lap with ovarian cystectomy, lysis of adhesions and a partial ooophorectomy on my left ovary. Basically my doctor said it was a "complete mess." My pathology was negative, but he said my cysts looked like endometriomas. That was 2 almost 3 years ago. When I started with RE, she said she wasn't sure I had endometriosis. Skip to current cycle, they kept finding a thickening in my lining, had 2 ultrasounds, then a saline ultrasound, she said she wasn't sure if it was a fibroid or something else. She wanted an MRI to get a better idea...which discovered I still have some endometriomas and this adenomyosis. My only real symptoms are that I have super heavy periods with lots of clots, lasting 7 days. There are like 2 to 3 days of severe cramps. It took me a long time to get here. I know they say endometriosis is best diagnosed with a diagnostic lap? Have you had surgery? Good luck with everything, hope my story helped. Kinda a modpodge.
