Let's get this party started!!! :)

This is IVF #2 for us.  I had my endometrial biopsy on Monday and will be on BCPs until 11/26.  Baseline u/s is 11/29 and I start stims on 11/30.  Estimated ER is 12/11 with a 3dp ET.  Stims are mostly the same although my RE adjusted my dosages of Follistim and Menopur slightly.

QOTW:  I'm thankful for marrying the right man and having the ability to afford these IVFs!  Now we just need one to work!!

Hi!  I just re-intro'd below and would love to join!  Currently on BCP day 15, awaiting to hear from RE that we can go as planned!

I am thankful for my wonderful life...I have a perfect husband, amazing family and friends, a job I love and two adorable pupkids.  It is easy for me to get lost in this IF stuff - I remind myself everyday that I have a beautiful life!

Me: 30 (hx of adhesions, endo, adenomyosis) DH: 31 (perfect) | TTC since 10/10 | 3 unsuccessful Clomid cycles after TTC for 1 year | IVF #1 8R 4M 3F - CP| IVF #2 - poor responder cx| IVF #3 converted to IUI - BFN | IVF #4 new doctor - 5R 4M 3F - beta #1 4/16: 256! beta #2 4/18: 1034. 3rd US at 7w3d shows no growth, no heartbeat| P/SAIF welcome!

Hi ladies! I am on my last full week of BC pills I take my last one on Monday 11/26. I start Lupron tommarrow night :) I have my baseline schedualed for Tuesday 11/27, and I am suppose to start stims on 12/1. Our ER is tentively scheduled for December 10th. This is IVF #1 for us.

 

I am thankful for my amazing husband, our family and friends, and my job and supportive bosses. I am also thankful for you ladies and that this board is an amazing support system and I am blessed to call you all my internet friends..

Hi SnowBunnies! So I'm a Patcher, turned Baster, turned Snowbunny! I started my Mini IVF cycle on Oct 1. We had ER on Nov 1st, 3 retrieved but only 1 made it to blast. To give us the best chances of success, we did a freeze all and will be going right for a FET instead of fresh. CD 1 was on Sunday. We had a hysteroscopy on Monday to make sure that my ute was good and ready for my little embie, now we wait for O. Estimated FET is the 1st or 2nd week of Dec.

So far this IVF cycle has been quite the rollercoaster. We live in NYC, and Sandy hit us the week of my ER. I had to stay in hotels near my RE just to ensure that my cycle wouldn't be cancelled. Then 3 days after my ER, I get the worst phone call of my life. My Mom had a massive stroke and was on life support. She passed two days later. We then get the call that only 1 embie made it to blast... Praying that December will bring us some much needed luck and a BFP. 

QOTW: I'm thankful for my wonderful Husband and my amazing family and friends. Without them, I'm not sure that I would've been able to make it through this past month.

Yay for the Snow Bunnies!!

I started Lupron last Saturday. Took my last bcp on Monday. I am actually sitting in my RE's office waiting for my baseline as I type this. If everything looks good, I will start stims on Saturday! I will be starting with Follistim 300iu...I am nervous about the pen... and Menopur 75iu.

QOTW: It goes without saying that I am thankful for my husband, family, etc etc etc. I am so thankful for ART. Not so many years ago women in our position were just SOL if they were dealing with IF. I am thankful that, because of ART, we all have a chance to become mothers!

Ahhhh I have been irrationally excited for this check in lol!

I'm actually still on suppressants off BCP, still on Lupron. Don't start stims until the 27th. Had baseline this morning and everything looks good so far. AF should be here today or tomorrow.

QOTW: I'm thankful for the opportunity to do this IVF cycle. Insurance ends in January so I'm so glad we made it in time to give it a shot or a lot of shots lol!

Kind of excited to see this! We are doing FET #1 (mm/c for IVF #1) and I am taking estrace now (so I guess I'm stimming? not sure what's what with FET) for a transfer on 12/11. Lining check and b/w is on the 29th of November.

After a year of sh$tty stuff (failed IUI's, surgeries, IVF, and a miscarriage) I am most thankful for my husband. He has been an angel on Earth through this and we are celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary on Saturday.

Hi ladies! Thanks Juicy for doing this checkin.

I went in for my baseline on Monday after 3 weeks of BCPs and 10 days of Lupron and my E2 levels were too high for me to start stims and my body decided to start growing a follicle. Come on body, suppress yourself! So I'm still on Lupron until Friday when I go back in. Hopefully I can start stims then. So now we're looking at ER the week of 12/3. This is IVF 1 for me.

QOTW: I am thankful for my amazing husband, my supportive family and my amazing job that has wonderful insurance that makes IVF possible.

GL to all you ladies! I hope December brings us all a wonderful gift!

Yay for our first check-in!!

I start Lupron(10 units) tomorrow morning, and stims either the 29th or 30th depending on my baseline next Thursday with an estimated ER the 11th of December. I've been having dreams of sticking myself with needles the past couple nights, so I guess it's time to suck it up and go for it :)

I do have one question, if anyone happens to know the answer to...... I've seen some ladies say they are doing their Lupron at night, I'm told to do mine in the am. Does anyone know if there is a difference? Maybe just having it at the same time everyday is sufficient?

as for what I am thankful for, I've got a lot this year. My awesome husband and family, being able to afford IVF this year, a very understanding boss and coworkers who are really cheering me on through this. I'm also reminded by PP about just the technology of this, that it is even available and an option for us to use to start a family.

Hey twists. I don't believe there is a difference what time of day you do it, just that you do it around the same time each day. I was told to pick an hour time slot between 59pm and inject within that hour every day. I don't think doing it in the morning makes a difference. GL!

Woo hoo, let's get this party started!

I had my baseline yesterday and all looked good.  Just waiting on my E2 results and if all is good we will be starting stims on Saturday!

I'll echo many pp but I'm thankful for my wonderful DH!  He has been so supportive of me and our situation the last 3 + years.  Even though it's been rough I wouldn't want anyone beside me but him through this.  i actually believe this has made us much stronger.  I'm also very thankful to be doing this IVF!   We are so lucky to have insurance and just to be able to do it...I know there are some people out there who couldn't do this.

Yay! I'd like to be added to the check in - thanks to Juicy for leading this! This is IVF #1 for us.  

I'm currently on suppressants.  I started Lupron on Monday and took my last BCP today.  I had my first awkward injection experience last night in the bathroom of a bar called Shooters - not terrible, but not ideal!  I'm scheduled for my baseline Tuesday the 27th and expect to start follistim that night.  ER is tentatively scheduled for December 9th! 

QOTW - I'm extremely thankful for my awesome husband and supportive family - and great insurance benefits doesn't hurt either.

Yay for the Snow Bunnies!! I started Lupron last Saturday. Took my last bcp on Monday. I am actually sitting in my RE's office waiting for my baseline as I type this. If everything looks good, I will start stims on Saturday! I will be starting with Follistim 300iu...I am nervous about the pen... and Menopur 75iu.

The pen is awesome!! I wish all of my meds could be delivered in a pen!!  Good luck with your baseline!! :)

No kidding! My husband said the same thing yesterday - why can't everything use the pen!

Hi everyone!  I'm on day 5 of lupron with about a week and a half to go before starting the bravelle.  Our estimated ER will be around 12/12 with a 5dt.  I'm having a few side effects from the lupron but they aren't that bad.

Hi snow bunnies!

I just had my baseline this morning, so I start stims tomorrow (11/22)!  My estimated ER is 12/3.  

QOTW: I'm very thankful for my awesome DH who has been great every step of the way through IF.  I'm also thankful for my great boss and co-workers who are super supportive right now.

This is my first IVF.  I am currently on BCPs.  I start stims on Nov 30 and possible egg retrieval the 2nd week of December.

I was so excited to see my name on there! Too Cool! The thing that I am most thankful for other than the normal dh and family is coupons and modern medical technology. Modern medical technology for giving me hope and coupons because that helps me pay for the technology :)

Ultrasound 1/10 - Nothing completely empty uterus Beta 1/14 - 743; Beta 1/17 - 1704 ultrasound shows nothing. Officially a miscarriage. 1/21 Beta 3900 Dr. says it ectopic. Ultrasound shows a miracle heartbeat right in the uterus where it belongs! Dr. says I can be cautiously optomistic!!! Hang in there baby!

I start Lupron(10 units) tomorrow morning, and stims either the 29th or 30th depending on my baseline next Thursday with an estimated ER the 11th of December. I've been having dreams of sticking myself with needles the past couple nights, so I guess it's time to suck it up and go for it :)

I do have one question, if anyone happens to know the answer to...... I've seen some ladies say they are doing their Lupron at night, I'm told to do mine in the am. Does anyone know if there is a difference? Maybe just having it at the same time everyday is sufficient?

as for what I am thankful for, I've got a lot this year. My awesome husband and family, being able to afford IVF this year, a very understanding boss and coworkers who are really cheering me on through this. I'm also reminded by PP about just the technology of this, that it is even available and an option for us to use to start a family.  

I was told to take mine in the morning, at the same time every day.  My nurse said that this particular med is very important to take at the same time every day because it only stays in your system for 24 hours, so you have to be sure to keep giving yourself more at the same time.

Yay bunnies!!

 I'm doing a donor egg/donor sperm IVF cycle and am on Lupron and Vivelle patches (.5 Lupron and 4 patches every other day). Our anonymous egg donor starts her stims on Sunday. She's had two previous cycles with 16-17 eggs each, and 2-4 embryos transferred or frozen. So here's hoping!!! ET will likely be around December 12th give or take 3 days. So excited!!!

Needless to say, like all of us coupled folks I'm grateful for my partner/wife (soon wife! It's legal here now and I'm grateful we can be married before having a baby!). But, right now I'm sooooooo grateful to our egg donor who is about to go through a stim cycle and give her eggs away. I can't imagine. It takes a special person and I feel like we got the perfect donor for us :) 

Together 7 years and legally married in 2013!
Me: 41 (Excited to carry!) DW: 44
June 2012: First RE appt.due to age + plan to use DS
Sept 2012: Both fallopian tubes removed due to blockage
Dec 2012: Donor Egg/Donor Sperm IVF Cycle - BFP! EDD 8/29/13
Mar 15 2013: Missed miscarriage at 15w4d(discovered at 16w1d via home Doppler).
Mar 22 2013: D&E. Tests showed death due to (fluke) blood clot in umbilical cord. :( Genetics all good.
May 24 2013: Hysterscopy to remove uterine adhesion post D&E.
We have three frosties. Hoping for FET in late July 2013!
We live in Seattle and used SRM for our Donor Egg IVF cycle.

Hey, everybody! Sorry I was so late but we were prepping for Turkey Day all day yesterday and now (on actual Thanksgiving morning) it's the first I've been able to take a breath. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

I don't want to brag, and sorry about all those other months, but it really seems like we have the best group, ever, in the history of IVF.

Update on me: I take my last BCP on Sunday then start stims on 11/29. New protocol this time, the short one, with Ganirelix. 

QOTW: Thankful, of course for my DH and family, but I am especially thankful this year that my FIL survived a heart attack and is recovering well. He's on the mend two weeks after we were not certain he would make it through and right now, that seems like a miracle.


TTC #1 for about 3.5 years
ME: 37, PCO, immune issues?, teflon uterus (my added diagnosis)
HIM: 38, Perfect. (Showoff.)
Month before starting Clomid, spontaneous pregnancy. m/c at 7 weeks and D&C.
Four months of Clomid, one IUI, with Intralipid each cycle: BFNs all
IVF 1.0 July 2012 -- Lupron, bravelle, menopur, estrogen, progesterone supps, intralipid. 14 ER, 14 fertilized, 1 blast transferred, 2 on ice. BFN
FET 1.1 -- 10/2, transferred our 2 blasts. Lupron, PIO, estrogen, baby aspirin, prednisone. BFN.
IVF 2.0 December 2012 -- Bravelle, Menopur, Ganirelix, Prednisone, Metformin, estrogen, progesterone supps. 22 eggs retrieved on 12/14, 17 mature, 15 fertilized. OHSS anticipated so ET cancelled. 3 embryos frozen.
Broke up with old RE. Moving on to new dude. Maybe the change of scenery will be just the trick for our frosties. On BCPs for possible April FET.

I was originally supposed to start Lupron last weekend and be a December Snow Bunny, but our cycle has been delayed because I need surgery to remove scar tissue.  Hoping I can join the January group!

I've been soo excited waiting for our check in!  I finished BCPs Monday, started baby aspirin, have baseline tomorrow & start stims on saturday.  ER is the first week of Dec.  WOOHOO  Good Luck Bunnies!!

 

QOTW:  Im thankful for my husband for being such a wonderful support, as well as friends and family.  I don't know how Id make it through all this without them.  I'm also thankful for my wonderful boss for helping me with arranging time off (I'm a 12 hour shift NICU nurse, it's not easy to cover time off) and that DH's insurance has made the financial aspect of IF more managable.  I know theres so much more that I'm thankful for, but I'll keep it short & sweet.  Oh!  Im thankful for all the wonderful people I've met through the boards!  Y'all are seriously an amazing, strong group of people!!

FET #1 for us. Starting Lupron today.

QOTD: Thankful that through our clinical expenses, etc. that we still have food, a roof over our heads, and all the bills are getting paid.

Me: 31, PCOS (insulin resistance) TTC since 05/11. DH: 31 Great SA after multivitamins and diet improvements 6/25 IUI #1 cancelled IVF #1 w/ICSI on 8/23 CANCELLED due to ovulation. IVF #1.2 BFN 11/6 3 snowbabies. FET #1 12/20. Beta 12/31-BFFN FET #2 scheduled for 6/12. Everyone WELCOME!!

This is IVF 2. I have my baseline in less than 5 hours... So will know by 3 if I start stims tonight. Hope the aggressive protocol works!
