BC pills causing drop in Breast Milk on day 2?

My OBGYN put me back on BC pills (camila) yesterday. I have taken 2 pills, and these are the ones that "aren't supposed to effect milk production". Right now my son is fed 50% pumped milk and 50% formula. We had massive latch issues and decided not to crash the mother ship trying to EBF.

Yesterday I pumped 6 1/2 oz at 8 am, with a 3-4 oz pump every 4 hours after that. This morning, 2 oz. And I haven't been able to get more than 2 oz since.

We were already having to supplement since my 6 week old is demanding 5 oz bottles throughout the day and 3 times a night, but I really don't want him to be EFF this young. 

Could the BC really have knocked my milk out that fast? Anyone have any advice about building supply back up while on BC?

SOrry no advise, just that my best friend and I are both on those pills- same brand- I haven't noticed any change in supply but she has.  Good luck.

I have no suggestions for you, but I know that my OB said that no BC pills are truly safe for milk production. Maybe this is why? Even the ones that are supposedly not supposed to effect milk production do in some people. Perhaps calling your OB and asking first would be plan. But also, maybe try a different form of birth control.?

Even a progesterine only --or mini pill birth control pill will effect supply for some women.  You probably need to stop the pill if there is continued supply issues over the next day.
