15 weeks and no sign of baby bump

Hi there, I am exactly 15 weeks today and I am a little concerned because I don't have any sign of a baby bump yet. I am very thin 52kg and 5"6 tall so I figured I would notice something by now. My friend is 11 weeks and 3 days and just a little bit bigger then me and she has quite an obvious baby bump. I just want to know if I should be concerned as I have had 2 miscarriages before, one at 12 weeks and the other at 8 weeks, so I am really scared.

I wouldn't be concerned. Every one is different and changes happen at different times. I'm sure there are a lot of women who don't show this soon. My friend, who is also very skinny, didnt pop out until she was 8 months. She didnt look pregnant at all. I'm sure everything is fine. If you're overly concerned, ask your OB.

20 weeks and still no bump here. My dr is not concerned; is yours? Every woman and every pregnancy is different. Try to relax!

ETA: I am small too - honestly I don't think that means anything...

It totally depends on how you're carrying. With my first, I didn't really show until 20ish wks, and I'm 5' 7" and 125 pre-pg. With this pg, I had a noticeable bump around 16 weeks, but only now does my belly scream "pregnant!" at 26 weeks.

Don't compare bumps, it's useless. My neighbor is due in Feb and she barely looks pregnant. Me on the other hand, I get routinely asked if I'm having twins. Frown.

I can understand your concerns with previous losses, perhaps getting a home Doppler would help as you can check on LO and be reassured. Or if you think you can wait 4 to 5 more weeks you should hopefully be feeling them move by then which is an awesome, and free!, reassurance.

This is my 2nd baby and I didn't "pop" until about a week ago (around 20 weeks).  Even now, depending on the shirt I wear, I could completely hide it.  I went to the OB this week for an U/S and they said she's growing perfectly.  It's just how I carry.  My SIL is 3 months behind me, pregnant with her 4th and I'm sure she'll look further along than me very shortly- she has carried big with all her pregnancies.

im 14 weeks and still no sign of bump. I still fit into all my regular clothes, and my skinny jeans. I've lost 6lbs so far during my pregnancy. I wouldnt worry. Im sure we'll both pop right around christmas... from all the christmas cookies!

I didn't show until 22 weeks or so. I still look on the small side for being 6+ months pregnant. My dr has never been concerned about it, either. Just be patient :)

ETA: I'm 5'1" and about 110 lbs pre-pregnancy, with a very short waist. Go figure!

I still don't look like I have a "bump". Some days I do but it's really just bloat.

BUT.....Right at 16 weeks (on the day) I wasn't able to button my pants, any of them without feeling uncomfortable. I know something is going on down there! It's only a matter of time.

I started "showing" to only me around 15 weeks (my husband didn't notice any changes). I thought I'd pop out early bc I'm short and figured baby could only go out. That may be the case later on, but your uterus is still pretty low at 15 weeks. I could have hidden my bump until a week or so ago and I just got my first comment from a stranger two days ago. I wouldn't worry about when you show bc people carry so differently. I have a bigger bump (and mine is small) than a girl that is due 2 full months before me and she is taller and very slim.

Don't be concerned,  I'm assuming this would be your 1st baby? I understand the concern since you have had miscarriages but stressing will make it worse. Breath and be happy your not stretching out yet ;-). I'm BARELY 5 ft and only weight 104 pre pregnancy. I'm 14 weeks this Saturday. I have a lil bump that you can only see if you know me and know how little I really am. Otherwise I feel like other people probably just think I have a cushion in the belly HA. But this is also my second child and I'm short. 1st pregnancies normally take longer to show and from I have seen also if you are taller 5'6, it might take a little longer to show to the public.

Breath smile and enjoy before you start to pop and can't fit into your skinny jeans anymore with out leaving them unbuttoned LOL ;-). XXXXX

Thanks everyone for your help, yes this is my first pregnancy and time is just flying, I just can't wait until I have a cute bump, after having 2 previous miscarriages I'm so happy to be able to get this far in a pregnancy. I am getting married in a few weeks and really wanted to have a cute little bump to show off, but i suppose it's not going to be that way, at least I won't have to get my dress altered that much!

Congratulations to all of you with your pregnancies, and I wish you all happy, healthy little babies!
