My grandpa passed away last night ... I peed on so many sticks yesterday hoping I could whisper the news in his ear before he was gone. Woke up this morning praying I'd be able to have one good piece of news to get me through what will be an insanely emotional thanksgiving ... Now just praying I get that BFP before my AF is due on Monday. I know I shouldn't put this pressure on myself but it would be healing to know that I conceived while my grandpa was still here and that I could bring some happiness to my family in this sad time. Christmas would be just that much better if I could give the news to my grandma.

I always promised my grandpa I'd name my first son after my maiden name his last name .... Here's to hoping I can continue his legacy sooner rather than later....

DX with ectopic pregnancy at 8 weeks, surgery to remove right tube 01/18/13
Both ovaries and left tube looked healthy and clear, so we'll see what the future holds for us.

I am so sorry for your loss.

I just had the exact same experience in September, only it was my grandmother. I wanted so badly for her to know she would have another great grandchild.

I am so sorry for your loss. Husband lost his grandfather last year at this time and I am still upset that he will never know his beloved grandson's children. Now his grandmother is ill and I get sick to my stomach thinking that the same might be true for her. Be strong and fingers crossed for a BFP.

Even though DD was born and given my grandma's name as her MN 9 years after grandma passed, it still helps me feel my DD is connected to my grandma. I can see my grandma's spunk in her and my grandpa is so proud that she is named for his beloved wife.
