Low follicle number...seems low to me.

Monitoring 2. Only 4 follicles on the right side, none on the left. I feel discouraged, but the nurse said it was ok. My retrieval is pushed back to possibly Friday. Is there a chance I could develop more? They increased my dosages, too.

Are you DOR? What's your AMH/FSH/AFC? What day stims are you on?

I'm sorry it's only showing 4. :( I understand that feeling and it sucks.

I agree, it is low, but all you need is 1 :-)  It is possible that other follies can catch up in a week.

Hang in there - this IVF stuff is a total mindfluck!  FX for you!

There's definitely a chance you could develop more. At baseline I had 5 follicles; by my first monitoring I had 6 follicles. I was very disappointed, but my RE increased my meds and a few days later things started happening in there. This morning's monitoring showed 7 to 9 large follicles on each ovary. I'll be shocked if we retrieve even half of them, but the increase in meds will hopefully jump start your ovaries, as well. GL and hang in there!

hang in there! Since they increased your dosages you will prob have more show up mature. It happened to me both cycles. GL!!!!

Every monitoring appt I had we thought there was only 4, but at ER there was 6. One of those gave me my BFP and 3 froze, so it's not the most awful number. Good luck!

Thank you all. I'm trying so hard to stay strong and hopeful. I don't have enough drugs do we have to order more. 1600 that we don't have. My mind is racing. You guys keep me going, though.

Us: 37(me)/39(he). TTC since April '11. DOR/MFI. March '12: surgery to remove fibroids, cysts, and endometriosis.
IVF #1: 9/13/12. ER: 9/25. 3R, 2M, 1F. ET: 9/28 (1-6B). Beta: moved from 10/11 to 10/10: BFN.
IVF #2: 11/12 cycle postponed due to Sandy and then cancelled due to elevated E2.
IVF #2.1 cancelled due to cyst.
IVF #2.2: 2/2/13
