WTF Mother Nature?!?! (vent)

I got my period last night (a day and some hours late, but she came) and I was so ready to start using everything I've learned from TTGP and up my chances next month. Then, this morning I discovered a tampon with only a tiny corner covered in blood and no more bleeding. You would have thought last night was the end of my period, not the beginning. WTF AF!?!? All I want is to get my normal period, the same one I always get, so i can start fresh and prepared, but noooooo AF picked now to start screwing around.
Buck Up Mother Nature! I'm not in the mood to play your games!

Honestly, I wouldn't worry too much about it. It's only the second day. I know that for me, I typically don't bleed very much at night. But occasionally I do. No big deal. GL!

I spot up to three days prior to my period.  It drives my crazy!  But for you, this doesn't sound typical - sometimes changes occur everyone once in a while, and it sounds like you had a bit of spotting..probably nothing to worry about.  


Married 7/2012 DH: 29 Me: 28
TTC since 6/2012
DH: 1st SA: 1% morphology, 2nd: 2%. All other numbers good
Me: CD3 bloodwork, baseline U/S, and SIS: normal
IUI #1: Plan: 50mg Clomid and Orvidel trigger. CD3 U/S found a 45mm cyst on left ovary. Benched
Out of town during ovulation/IUI timeframe next cycle. Damn! Hurry up, late July!!!

I spot for a few days before full AF. Then it stops for hours and comes back.

Me: 31 DH: 31. TTC since Sept. 2011
B/W: good. SA: good.
November 2012: Paratubal cyst found during U/S.
January 10, 2013: Lap removed paratubal cyst and Stage 2 Endometriosis.
January 2013: Unmedicated. P4 was 8.4. Meds recommended.
February 2013: Femara 2.5 mg and TI. P4 was 8.5. Meds will be doubled next cycle.
March 2013: Femara 5 mg and TI. P4 was over 11.
April 2013: Femara 5 mg and IUI#1. P4 was 11.4. Post wash over 40 million.
May 2013: Femara 5 mg and TI. Vacation during FW.
June 2013: Benched from meds due to thin lining.

I'm sorry! I think AF f**ks with you when you're TTC! That's the only time weird things happen for me, too. Hang in there!
Me - 32, DH - 32. We have been TTC #2 since January 2012.
Our daughter, Emma Kate, is 9. Born 10/16/03 @29w & 1lb13oz

BFP on 12/3/12, EDD 8/19/13, U/S 1/17/13 showed blighted ovum, d&c 1/24/13
BFP on 4/19/13, EDD 12/29/13, u/s 5/20/13 showed baby with heart rate of 180 bpm! Yea, baby!
u/s 6/4/13 showed a wiggly baby with a heart rate of 176!

Spotting is pretty normal for me. It was just weird that I had a bright red flow for a few hours and then nothing. The rest of today has just been very light spotting. I really do think AF just likes to start screwing with you once you really need her not to.

That is really annoying, but hopefully it will just be a very short period! How much would that rock?

If you are hoping it might be implantation bleeding afterall, in my experience that is much less blood so I doubt that is the case. I just hope you have a short period and can get on with TTC soon.
