Carseat/Stroller help! Kinda long

I'm going to start by saying that I am pretty set on Graco brand, or maybe Chicco. My problem is that I was going to opt for a travel system and I found one that came with the Snugride 30 and In a gender neutral pattern. After looking around it looks as if this one is being discontinued because the only place I found it in stock was eBay. So after searching some more I have turned to the idea of getting the Snugride 30 carseat and just getting the stroller frame where you just snap the carseat in. And then getting a lightweight stroller with a reclining seat for when I don't need the infant seat anymore. So does anyone have any opinion on the carseat/ stroller frame? Even if you don't have Graco brand do you find the setup convenient and worth it?

We did a Graco snug ride and a frame in the beginning. I got a city mini gt as our stroller. I am very happy with it

Instead of getting a snap n go we are just getting a stroller that is lightweight, holds a gracious seat and lays flat. It is by Aprica, the something Flat (sorry can't remember the word before flat). Just go to Albeebaby.com and search "aprica" and you will see them. Or tootle that brand and get the whole tour. They are 1/2 off at only $99 right now.

I am doing the Graco stroller frame + car seat combo.  It is super easy and more convenient than getting a bulky travel system stroller.  I had that with my first daughter and ditched it when I had my second.

Graco just came out with a newer version of their car seat frame.  Looks pretty neat!

Thanks for the feedback so far. I'm going to talk to DH about it all and see what he thinks. But I really think the stroller frame / carseat will be best for us right now. I also forgot to add that I have a Hyundai Elantra and I was worried about fitting everything in the trunk and the stroller frame seems to be space saving. And I looked at the Aprica presto flat and I like the features, so that may be what I go with for the lightweight stroller. I've also looked at the Graco Ipo stroller and It seems pretty good.

We used a frame stroller for the infant seat for the first 10 months and it was a nice lightweight and convenient combination, but similar to the cost of the travel system (which is normally criticized for being bulky and difficult to maneuver)  Now that it's sitting unused in my closed, if I had to do it again, I'd look into something like the Bumbleride Flite, which is a lighweight stroller that can accommodate an infant seat and can then be used as a lightweight umbrella stroller.  I am not sure what other models do this, but it seems like a great idea.

You could always get the Graco frame off of craigslist too, and possibly save quite a bit. I have the Snugrider frame, and I freaking love it! I bought mine as a set with a Graco Snugride 22 for $48 or something on clearance. I sold the car seat for $50, because I hated it. :)

That thing is worth every penny. My friend is currently borrowing it, and she uses it all the time. I think she said she has used her regular Graco stroller maybe 2x in the last 5 months.

We have the chicco keyfit 30 and the chicco stroller frame. It has been super convenient.

I purchased there uppababy flux which is super lightweight and reclines. Dd is super comfy in it as it offers extra padding.

What we so not have is a full size stroller. We do have a jogging stroller so I think 3 is enough.

On this note, if you want the Chicco car seat, you could get the Chicco Liteway Plus which comes out in January.  It's a lightweight stroller that you can attach the car seat to.  I am getting this for sure because we need a lightweight option and I love that I will be able to use it for either my newborn or my older daughter.  Now I just have to hold out until January!
