loo-SEE-uh (Spanish)

loo-CHEE-uh (Italian)

LOO-sha (St. Lucia)

All are correct. How I would say it would depend on the person's last name and where they were from. loo-CHEE-uh comes to mind first because of some Italian family (ILs).

I would pronounce it Loo-chee-uh. I did some operatic singing when I was younger and that was how the choir director taught us to pronounce it.

Loosha.  Like Lucian without the "n".  But maybe I pronounce that differently from everyone.

I know there's three pronunciations (loo-see-uh, loo-chee-uh and loo-sha).  I prefer loo-see-uh, but I'd ask the parents or the child when meeting a Lucia.

Love this name, by the way.

First glance Loo-cee-a but I also may think Loo-sha because that's how I pronounce St. Lucia.  I don't think Loo-chee-a, but where I live there aren't many with Italian backgrounds.

Loo-see-a or Loo-chee-a

We'll be using this as a middle name, and I like the fact that it has (at least) two legitimate pronunciations tied to two different cultural traditions.  The first pronunciation is Scandinavian (as am I) and the second is Italian (my DH is Italian).

I prefer the first pronunciation for flow with our chosen fn, but I love the built-in flexibility.

loo-SEE-uh (Spanish)

loo-CHEE-uh (Italian)

LOO-sha (St. Lucia)

All are correct.

Ditto.  I default to loo-Chee-uh because I'm Italian but I agree all three are valid pronounciations.

I love this name and would pronounce it Lu-see-uh..

When I first found out St. Lucia was pronounced/was the same place as  St. "Lou-sha" I was very confused until somone told me it was a french pronunciation.
