Clicky Poll- favorite part of your cycle?

Happy Monday girls! Figured I'd start the day with a clicky poll. I like to mentally break up my cycle into 4 "phases" and try to enjoy each one as much as possible for what it is. Curious what you all think. 


What is your favorite part of your TTC cycle?

  • AF: time to bust out the cabernet (10.5%)
  • Waiting to O: Sex, sex sex, more sex (28.6%)
  • 2ww, too early to test: I like to pretend I am pregnant and just don't know it (19%)
  • 2ww, time to test: I like peeing on things (28.6%)
  • Special snowflake: please explain (13.3%)

I kind of like the pos OPK few days the best. You know your chances are good (or the best they can be) and what's going on. Waiting on both ends is hard for me.

SS - It will be when I get a BFP, duh. But I sure do love having a little extra sex around O...
TTC#2 Since July 2011
Me: 29, had two blocked tubes - left was cleared during lap&dye, right was unable to be cleared. PCOS & Stage 2 Endo. DH: 31, SA = perfect.
CLOMID: 4 rounds, 50mg + TI = BFN's.
FEMARA: 1 round = no response.
12-24-2012 : Laparoscopy, Softball sized cyst/endo/scar tissue removed.
Cycle #14 - Feb 2013 : 50mg clomid. Ovidrel Trigger. IUI on 2/14/13 = thin lining, multiple cysts.
Cycle #15 - no meds, still have cysts, no follicles. Boo!
Forced break. Continuous BCP for 6 weeks to give my jacked up ovaries a break.
Cycle #16 actively trying: May/June plan: Femara, Ovidrel Trigger, IUI! Bring iiiiit!

I feel like every part of the cycle has at least one positive attribute but otherwise sucks completely...

 

AF - mmm sushi and hard cider
WTO - mmm sex
O'ing - yay +OPK
2WW - I'm pregnant, I'm pregnant, I'm pregnant!
testing time - the possibility of a BFP

Otherwise we all know the negatives of all of it.
 

BFP#1: 08/30/12 EDD 04/30/12 m/c 09/04/12 6wks

BFP#2: 01/27/13 EDD 10/06/13 no baby/just sac on u/s 02/25/13 chemical abortion 03/02/13 9wks

If I have to choose, I like the 2WW the most because it's the most relaxing time of the cycle for me. I don't have to have planned sex, don't have to pee on things and over analyze them, don't have to agonize over my chart and whether I've ovulated yet. I can just chill out and wait, because there's nothing else I can do.

I like the time surrounding O, either leading up to it or very early 2ww because you haven't been waiting that long. I hate AF the most because I get crampy and who likes bleeding??

fwiw, OP, I don't "like" any part of my cycle, either, but I don't think this was a stupid or pointless poll. 85 people filled it out and several commented with their opinions so some people found it somewhat worthwhile.

I don't like any of it lol.I am ridiculously impatient. AF makes me stabby and the 2ww makes me want to pull my hair out from not knowing.

But I guess my least hated part is the waiting to O part. It at least feels like I'm working towards something at that point.

I don't think it is a stupid poll and I am pretty certain it has been done here before! For me I hate the whole damn process, but TWW is my least favorite because I start analyzing every little potential symptom and begin peeing on things WAY to early. As for least hated part I guess the waiting to O, because I know that I will be able to pee on one thing and turn it positive plus more sex follows. I am just hoping to turn the more important pee stick positive one day soon!

If I had to pick it would be the 2ww, but I never pretend I'm pregnant and I don't POAS.  I like knowing how our timing was and then it's out of my hands at this point so I don't stress anymore.
