Should I move my appointment?

I have been off of BCP's for about 4 months now and have been temping/charting Needless to say my cycles are not yet regular (22, 31 and 24 days). I just got a call to remind me of my annual exam which according to FF would be during my period, but it seems every month that FF moves my predicted period days by at least a few days.  Should I call to reschedule?  I have been having some "issues" during my period which have me a little bit concerned, so I don't know if I want to put it off for too long, but they are scheduling into January now.

I would leave the appointment as it is. If you get your period, you can reschedule, but otherwise, just let it go. You can also talk to your dr at that point in time about your cycle and any questions you might have.

Some how my check ups always happen when I'm on my period. I go anyways unless it is extremely heavy I would call first. Every doctor is different, some will do it some wont. I'm running into the same issue, next Friday I have my annual and FF has AF starting on Thursday. I'm pretty regular so if I'm not KU then I will most likely be at the beginning of AF and my doctor will still see me.
Wait and see if AF shows and if she does just give them a call before you go so you don't waste a trip.

Thanks for the input.  Just called OB/GYN's office, for now we will see how things play out, they will not do my annual if I have moderate to heavy bleeding that the time of the appointment, so I am going to see how things go for the next several days and go from there.

I would call this fairly regular.  Not ideal and annoying; yes.  But not "irregular".  I have been off the BCP since February and my cycles have been; 28, 32, 30, 32, 28, 33, 29, 29, 30.  They still seem to be "changing".  I had light 4-5 day periods for about the first 7 cycles and for the past 2 months, they have been about 2 days and very heavy (for me).  I had no cramps for the first 7 months, now I've been having to take a pain reliever and they wake me up at night.  I'm currently on my period and have now had 2 solid days of heavy bleeding and lots of cramping.  Last month I only had 1 day of heavy bleeding/cramping.

In regards to your appointment, I would keep it.  If you happen to be on your period when the appointment comes, I would call the office and let them know the situation.  If you have questions, they may have you keep the appointment to get them answered and then reschedule your annual.

I wouldn't move it just yet. OB offices run into this all the time, so I'd wait until you are closer to your appointment. They may also see you if your period is very light when you have your appointment. It all depends on the office.

Thanks for your input on this.  I guess like you said I am fairly regular, but I can't really make a best guess right now as when my period may come, so that's what is frustrating, especially having clockwork periods.  My periods right now are VERY heavy for 2-3 days, and I literally feel like my insides are going to fall out, which is what my concern is.  I feel like my vag is very swollen and feel a lot of pressure, but only during my period, so I am not sure what's up.

Keep the appointment. You're not having irregular periods you've had two shorter ones but since you've only been off BC for 4 months I'd give your body time to get back to normal.
