And then there were three...

DH and I have finally narrowed down our epic name list to three.  Middle name is still wide open and last name starts with a P and ends with a hard "k" sound.

 

Which one?

  • Grace (my favorite) (37.9%)
  • Maura (the compromise, much less popular pick - pronounced "More-ah") (39.5%)
  • Abigail/nn Abby (his favorite) (22.6%)
  • Total Votes: 190

I voted Maura Bc you guys both agree on it! I also love Grace and Abigail as MN options.

Is Abigail Grace an option or you have a MN picked out already?  I really like Abigail Grace but Maura Grace is really pretty too!

I'm not a huge fan of Grace as a first name...

I really don't want to use Grace as a MN because: (1) we have some great MN options with family ties that I would like to use, and (2) I *love* Grace as a FN, so I want to reserve it in case choose Maura or Abby this time around.  :o)

I think all 3 are very pretty.  I voted for Maura b/c I don't hear it as often.

All pretty names, but I like Grace in the FN spot.  Much fresher than Abagail Grace or even Maura Grace.

I like them all.  Grace got my vote over Abigail but just slightly.  Maura would be my third choice, but it is a nice name too.

I have always loved the name Grace.  Abigail is okay.  I am not a fan of Maura...it sounds very harsh to me.

All three are nice names but I voted for Maura because I feel like I hear Grace and Abigail all the time.

I voted for Maura, but I think the Moira spelling is prettier. I would pronounce Moira More Uh, but I could see where you would get a lot of people saying Moy Rah.

This exactly!  I actually don't mind Grace as a first name but think it sounds lovely with either other first name option.

Abigail is being used so much lately, and I don't like Grace at all. While I'm not a fan of Maura, you both agree on it and that's a huge plus!

Would Laura rather than Maura be an acceptable compromise name? None of them are bad names, though. I do think Abigail is super popular right now, and that would make me shy away from it a little.

I'm not a huge fan of Grace for a first name. And I feel like I know a lot of Abby/Abigails.... So Maura is my choice. I know a beautiful woman named Maura so it has good vibes with me too.
