Are headaches and dizziness normal?

Ever since about 2 weeks ago I've been getting really bad headaches. I am trying really really hard not to take anything for it because I just don't want to hurt the baby in any way (even though I know the doctor said it was okay to take Tylenol) but I still want to be extra safe. Some days I wake up with the headaches and they kind of fizzle away slowly, and some days they're so bad I can't even see straight. When I stand up my vision goes blurry and my head feels like it's being squished. I get a headache every day, and I've been taking my vitamins. I've been eating normally (or try to even when I'm nauseous) I'm just worried about these stupid headaches. I got migraines a lot when I was a kid and I'd say once every 5-6 weeks while on my period. I have talked to a doctor about it, but she wasn't very nice and not very helpful to me. She just told me to take Tylenol... =/

Are there any extra vitamins I can/should take? Or is there any kind of tea I can drink? I'm trying to do everything as natural as possible =)

I've had dizziness with both of my pregnancies.  With this current pregnancy, I had what I thought was vertigo last week.  This is how I realized I should take a pregnancy test...and it was positive.  As for the headaches, I have those as well.  I do take Tylenol for them and also lie down with cold packs on the back of my neck.  I'm so sorry that your are in pain, and I'm sorry that your doc wasn't too friendly.  :(

This is happening to me now! It just happened all of a sudden today. My first thought was that I had Vertigo, but figured since I've never had it before, it must be the pregnancy. The only thing that's helped me so far: Drinking lots of water (that helps my headaches). And sitting. If i stand too much or too quickly I start getting super dizzy again.

This is how I feel when I'm dehydrated. Up your water intake.

And Tylenol is NOT bad for your baby, if it were your doctor would not recommend it. If you really don't want to take it, put ice packs on either side of the base of your neck (down by your shoulders). It restricts blood flow to your brain and lessens the pain.

sorry your dealing with headaches :/ have you researched "pressure points" on your body to relieve pain?? i remember someone telling me one that helps with menstrual cramps...not sure if there is one for a headache?? i know you're wanting to do a more natural way but if it gets bad enough Tylenol IS ok to take. I had to take it A LOT at the end of my pregnancy because my hips hurt so much! lol hope the headaches go away!!

Ditto this.  Tylenol is fine.  If you previously drank a lot of coffee and have cut back on it a lot, caffeine withdrawls will do this too.
