3 days of stims...

And I had my first monitoring appt this morning. I'm waiting to get all of my results from the nurse.

Wondering what you've been told to expect as far as numbers after 3 days

Not sure, I have my first monitoring appointment tomorrow.  When I did follistim for my IUIs they really couldn't see too much that first appointment, follicles were still pretty small.

Good luck though!  I'm interested to see what others say.....

How are feeling?  My ovaries are making their presence known, very crampy...hoping it means there's lots of follicles in the making..lol:)

I actually just got off the phone with my nurse. She said I am showing 28 (i think...it's something right around there) follies and right now 8 (4 on each side) of those are measurable with the largest being at 10. My e2 was 301. She said everything was on a great pace and my dr. is pleased with my response thus far. He's continuing my protocal same as it's been. I go back on Wed for my next monitoring appt.

I feel a bit nauseous right now but I'm attributing that to the cookie dough that I had for lunch and a late afternoon snack. So far so good though...no discomfort, bloating or pain! I went to my 2nd ever acupuncture right before my monitoring appt and am going to continue with that...never a believer before but I think there might be something to it.

FX for good things on your end tomorrow!!!

So glad to hear that things are going well. It is always the worst waiting for those phone calls from the nurse.

Do you by any chance remember how many measurable follies you had at this point? Just curious

Congrats on a great monitoring appointment!  Hoping that things continue to look good on Wednesday.

Side question- What is everyone's typical monitoring protocol?  Is day 3 of stims pretty normal?  I don't have monitoring until the morning after my 6th night of stims.  Is this ok?

Windy--My monitoring appointments after 3 days on stims (so appointment on day 4) never resulted in any measurable follicles.  They would do a quick count, but they were too small to measure so they would just say "X on the left less than 10mm."  Looks like you have some fast growers--GL!

jschwind--I'm sure different clinics have different monitoring protocols.  Mine typically has you come in on day 4 (after 3 days on stims) and then again on day 6 (after 5 days on stims) continuing every other day until the follicles reach a certain size and your estrogen is at a certain level--then they start bringing you in every morning until trigger. Coming in on the 7th day of your protocol does seem pretty late for your RE to figure out if you are over or under-responding to the meds.  Are you sure you don't have an appointment sooner?

I started stims on a Monday and originally was scheduled to come in on Saturday after that but he moved me up to Friday (so after 5 nights of stims). They are worried about OHSS because I have so many small follicles. I have gone in everyday since Friday. My vein on my left arm is now shot and they have done the right the psat two days. They lowered my dose of gonal F on Saturday to 37.5. This am, my largest is 17 on the right and I have 10 on the right above 12mm. On the left, I have 4 above 12mm. E2: Monday pre-stims: 23 Friday: 392 Saturday: 891 Sunday: 1225 Monday: 1747 Tuesday: pending My ER is tentatively scheduled for Friday but who knows. They have thrown out there that it could be on Saturday. I only have 2 days of menopur left before I would need a refill.
