SeaConquest:Just fyi, this is a very popular Irish name and the typical Gaelic spelling. Before you eyeroll, are you sure that the family isn't connected to their heritage? I know quite a few Saoirse (pronounced Seer-sha) out here in Southern California. I can see how that would also seem weird to people not used to seeing it, but it isn't a made up name at all. It is really in like the top 10 in Ireland.
Not true. My brother's name is Eoin (I grew up in Ireland, he was born there and still lives there), which is one of the traditional spellings of the name. Oein is completely incorrect.
