All my kids (3) have been on alimentum. I've got a total of about 28 months experience of Alimentum. I like it, no bad effects. I mean, it stinks but you get used to it.

DS1 took nutramigen after we found blood in his stool. Pedi suggested it due to a sensitivity to the other formula. DS cried the first time he ate it, but was fine after that. The main problem we had was that it was so expensive! 3x the price of normal formula!

DD has been on Soothe since 8 weeks old. I thought it would help her colickiness but it didn't. It did help with her gas though. She was a lot less gassy and spit up was alot less. Her colickiness did stop at 10 weeks, so not sure if it was the formula or just her time was up. The Soothe is nice because it's the same price as the regular Gerber formula, the only problem is that it doesn't come in ready mix yet because it's so new, so I have to make bottles up before I go out or carry the big can with me.

Is Gerber Soothe the same thing as the other two brands? For milk allergies?

We started on Nutramigen and moved to Alimentum. Like a PP said, Alimentum stinks. It smells awful and the farts/burps are pretty nasty too, but you do get used to it. DS has an intollerance and has done really well on Alimentum. It's pretty expensive, we've found that Walmart or Target are the best prices so far. And if you can get coupons, too, that's great. I like the fact that Alimentum is a Similac product and  you can use the regular coupons on it, but with Nutramigen, you need specific coupons, you can't just use the Enfamil coupons, unfortunately.
