Double standard

I'm a regular poster here and I also chose to create an AE to ask a controversial question. What's with the "you're a NEWBIE" remark? Are we in high school again? Seriously.

Who the fluck cares how many post you have? Does that make you all knowing?

I fail to understand why people who sit on here for hours responding to up their post counts are any more "knowledgable" than anyone else. Doesn't make sense and it's very immature.

Can anyone enlighten me?

I'm new here, I kind of understand where these AE posts are coming from.

I understand that you should read the newbie link first, many times so you don't miss something and ask a question that's been asked 1 million + times. I would find that irritating too if I'd been using the site for a long time.

What I don't understand is the unnecessary harshness used in several of the replies I read day in and day out. If you think the posters question is dumb, there is no need to be mean about it. I'm not saying baby people, but have a heart. If you don't like what they posted, why bother replying, unless of course if was offensive.

What if that person is having a really bad day and they missed something in the newbie link. What if they don't think the question is dumb. What if they are just really new to this site/ charting / TTC and don't really get it.

People view things differently and thats ok, I just really disagree with the way some people act on these boards.

That said, I haven't really had a bad experience yet, I've just read a lot of other peoples. Try not to take anything to heart on here.

Me: 29, had two blocked tubes - left was cleared during lap&dye, right was unable to be cleared. PCOS & Stage 2 Endo. DH: 31, SA = perfect.
CLOMID: 4 rounds, 50mg + TI = BFN's.
FEMARA: 1 round = no response.
12-24-2012 : Laparoscopy, Softball sized cyst/endo/scar tissue removed.
Cycle #14 - Feb 2013 : 50mg clomid. Ovidrel Trigger. IUI on 2/14/13 = thin lining, multiple cysts.
Cycle #15 - no meds, still have cysts, no follicles. Boo!
Forced break. Continuous BCP for 6 weeks to give my jacked up ovaries a break.
Cycle #16 actively trying: May/June plan: Femara, Ovidrel Trigger, IUI! Bring iiiiit!

Yes And OP... if you are only here for support, help, and all that jazz many people here are helpful. But this is NOT a support group. Get counseling if you really need that help-- especially if an internet board upsets you.

I get where this is coming from. If newer people lurked more, which if this is their first message board they may no realize that lurking is the best thing before posting, they'd catch the vibe of the board faster.

I can't believe posts like this still happen.  Really OP and others who think people are too harsh, if you don't like the comments and replies you get, maybe this isn't the place for you.  There are tons of other sites that spew the love...try babygaga.

TTGP is for those that are trying to get pregnant...some try for years some try for only a few weeks does that mean that the ones that have it happen sooner deserve hated for being happy? If I walked up to a crowd of strangers and said hey guess what I found out I am pregnant today I am pretty Fluckin sure they wouldn't bash and harass me for being happy about it...Even if they have been trying for a baby for 2+ years that is just classless...... You all look for reasons to get your feathers ruffled and it is funny to watch and read about. If there is one person not kissing someone else A$$ on this board then it is like the hounds have been released!

You all comment about it not being the place for rainbows and glitterfarts and whatever else so buck up right?.....Then why is it when a Newb gets on here and only has 50 posts and says Yeah BFP all you wenches get your feelings hurt and tell her to go away? Pretty Hypocritical of you! You all get your Shiz in a bunch no matter what is said and or who says it!

Congrats to those of you who will come up with something smart to say or post a sarcastic Gif or call me a twatwaffle or a Ho3 or whatever...go ahead I promise I am not going to sit behind me computer and cry about it! I think that there isnt one of you who would stand up to a pregnant woman face to face and rip her to shreds in a room full of people! (Holds up  Middle finger)
