Got his first cold or teething? :( Please help.

LO is in the good mood during the day but at night cries and last night had a slight fever. His nose is runny and I heard that it can be runny due to teething as well. His first 8 teeth came out with out a single problem but he has 5 more coming out at the same time. Just wondering if he has a cold or is he just teething?
Did this "Cold like symptom" happen to your teething baby?

What is "slight fever"?  Actual teething does not cause a true fever, so if his temp was above 100.4, he's probably dealing with a slight cold.  Whenever DS has teeth coming in, the drool factory goes into overdrive, his booger game is fierce, and he gets this nasty diaper rash.

DD has a "cold" every time a tooth pops - cranky, slight fever (less than 100), runny nose, cough, etc....

Thank you all for posting. It's official!!! it is a cold. It's pretty much over and he is back to normal.  I guess it could be due to teething that he actually got a cold, like some of you have posted.

Thanks again.
